BSG Titanium Series Die-Cast Scar Cylon Raider

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 6:24 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

During the initial surprise attack on the 12 colonies of Kobol, Cylon Raiders didn’t need to be clever; most of their targets were rendered helpless by Cylon viruses. Since then humanity has learned more about the Cylons, and hundreds of Raiders have fallen before the vastly outnumbered Colonial Vipers. Scar is one of the Raiders that have survived. Fast, intelligent and with an ever-growing database of human tactics, it is a master of luring Viper pilots into tactically submissive situations and blowing them out of space. As its kill count rises, and it continues to avoid destruction, the Galactica’s fighter squadron faces more and more empty seats in its ready room.

BSG Die-Cast Colonial Viper Mark VII Vehicle

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 6:19 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

The absolute peak of human spaceflight engineering, the Colonial Viper Mark VII is the cornerstone of all ship-to-ship engagements. Designed to present the smallest possible target profile to the enemy while bringing unparalleled speed and accuracy into a fight, a Viper in the hands of a skilled pilot is more than a match for the superior numbers of the Cylons. This Viper has been painted with the classic color scheme of a Mark II, the ship that helped bring the first Cylon War to détente a generation ago.

BSG Titanium Colonial Viper Mark VII

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 6:12 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

The Colonial Viper Mark VII is the ultimate fighter in the Colonial Military. Its propulsion system is so powerful that despite being equipped with inertial dampers, it’s potentially deadly to inexperienced pilots who may be shocked by its power. Although there are only a few Colonial Viper Mark VII ships left aboard the Battlestar Galactica, these fighters are the pinnacle of flight engineering throughout Colonial Space.

Titanium Series Die-Cast Blue Colonial Viper Mark II Vehicle

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 6:06 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

This repainted and refitted Mark II was pulled from the museum aboard the Battlestar Galactica and forced into service during the first few, panicked hours after the Cylon attack on the Colonies. Since then, it has been painted black to make it sink into the dark background of deep space, hiding it from visual scans. It has had every bit of unnecessary equipment pulled out, sacrificing mass for acceleration. Targeting systems have been replaced with electronic countermeasures pulled from a Raptor, allowing it to spoof enemy dradus. All these changes make it an ideal short-range, high-velocity recon and courier ship used on black ops throughout the fleet.

Battlestar Galactica Titanium Series Colonial Raptor

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 5:58 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

The rugged and versatile workhorse of the Colonial Military, this adaptable ship has proven to be invaluable in the fleet’s struggle for survival. Originally intended as a medium-range recon vehicle, the Raptor has been used as everything from a boarding vessel to an ordnance delivery platform. Though not as fast as the Colonial Viper Mark VII, it is also an effective combat platform, sporting electronic countermeasures capable of thwarting many Cylon weapons.

Battlestar Galactica Titanium Series Colonial One

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 5:50 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

More a commuter shuttle than a deep space craft, Colonial One is dwarfed by many of the larger ships in the fleet. Despite its size, it is the political center of the fleet, and the capitol of the new human society emerging among the survivors of the Cylon massacre. It is the home of President Laura Roslin and her government, which is housed in the converted upper decks of the ship. It is a prime target for the Cylons, and heavy fuel requirements and a temperamental Jump drive render it particularly vulnerable.

Battlestar Galactica Titanium Classic Cylon Raider Vehicle

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 5:44 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

Raiders are the primary assault vehicles of the Cylon Imperium. Deployed from immense Cylon Basestars, each raider is technically more than a match for the Colonial Viper, making up what it lacks in speed with superior armament and maneuverability. Making matters even worse for the human pilots of the Battlestar Galactica is the universal Cylon tactic of three-unit Raider wings, making almost any engagement a three on one battle. The only advantage an outnumbered, outgunned human pilot has over the formidable Raider is his innate talent for improvisation and abstract thinking.

Titanium Series Die-Cast Battlestar Pegasus Vehicle

Posted on October 29, 2008 at 5:37 pm by DESTRO under Battlestar Galactica Toy News

Bigger, newer and more well-armed than the Battlestar Galactica, the Pegasus survived the initial Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies only by jumping blindly into deep space. There, short of crew and believing herself to be the commander of the only surviving Colonial Battleship, Admiral Helena Cain grew increasingly driven and violent. Running her ship with an iron fist, she brooked no challenge to her authority, and treated Cylon captives without mercy. As a result of her merciless nature, the Pegasus quickly came into conflict with the Galactica upon their chance meeting, far outside Colonial Space.
