The November issue of Hobby Japan has revealed a surprise for fans of the ROBOT Damashii line, the ROBOT Damashii SIDE MS ZZ Gundam! While ZZ Gundam was more light-hearted compared to its Z Gundam predecessor, the hulking ZZ Gundam still gained a number of fans. Maybe you weren’t a fan of the series but loved the ZZ Gundam design? It happens.

While fans were possibly expecting another figure from Gundam Wing, Tamashii has thrown us a curveball once again. Which MS will be be next? A Universal Century(UC) release? Maybe something from G Gundam? We aren’t sure if the new ZZ Gundam figure is able to transform into its core fighter modes just yet. It’s scheduled for release in January 2013 for 4,800 yen. Tamashii Nations has released their official images of their upcoming Robot Damashii SIDE MS Gundam Epyon. This figure was last seen at Tamasii Features Voolume 4, and this is the 1st time that the official product shots have been revealed. Included are:

  • Beam sword blades x 2(1 normal length, 1 longer)
  • Heat Rod
  • Swappable lower arms and lower legs for conversion to Mobile Armor mode
Initially piloted by Heero, Epyon later landed into the hands of Zechs in the Gundam Wing TV series. This figure is scheduled for release in December for ¥4,725. Check out the new images after the jump!

The highly anticipated Robot Damashii SIDE MS Gundam Epyon from Gundam Wing was on display at Tamashii Features Volume 4. The last time we saw this figure was in a rather blurry shot, so it’s nice to finally see it in high clarity. In addition, the following Robot Damashii SIDE MS Gundam figures were shown:

Were you looking forward to the Robot Damashii SIDE MS Leo and its option parts, but dreading the cost due to the latter being TamashiiWeb exclusives? Well perhaps another look may sway you…as Gamu-Toys comes to the rescue with 2 galleries! The Leo and its option parts were released in Japan recently, and we’ve mirrored select images from Gamu-Toys. Shown 1st is the Leo by itself, and later it’s shown armed with various option parts.

The Cybergundam Blog has posted a new scan from Figure Oh #175 which reveals the upcoming Robot Damashii SIDE MS Wing Gundam Zero Custom Pearl Coating Version! The pearl finish factors into the increased pricepoint, which is ¥4,500.

Dig the Robot Damashii SIDE MS Leo but want more? Tamashii Webshop has revealed the following new items from Gundam Wing:

Both are scheduled for release January 2013. As of yet, it is unknown whether Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA will carry this stateside as a shared TamashiiWeb/Bluefin exclusive. However, since Gundam Wing was arguably the most successful Gundam series in the US, perhaps it’s a possibility. The option set comes with:
  • Beam saber x 2
  • Alternate head
  • Swappable hands
  • Space Beam Rifle
  • Shoulder armor
  • Shield x 1
  • Movable Machine Gun
The option set is pretty much a must-have since the Space Leo itself comes with….nothing(but the attached space boosters). Check out more images after the jump, and cross your fingers that Bluefin is able to bring these over, as these items will be pricey to obtain due to being TamashiiWeb exclusives.

Rejoice Gundam Wing fans! Following the current on/off pattern of releasing figures from the Gundam Wing TV series, Tamashii has revealed the oft-demanded Robot Damashii SIDE MS Gundam Epyon! This figure was shown at Sunrise Festival 2012.
