Press Release – Robo Force Wave 1 Pre-Sale Info

Posted on March 24, 2022 at 7:14 pm by Joe Moore under Robot and Mecha Toy News

Nacelle Robo Force Wave 1053

A press release has gone out from The Nacelle Company, detailing plans for the first wave of Robo Force action figures. The revamped line of figures, based on a classic 80’s toy property, will go up for pre-order beginning in April. The first assortment will feature the leader of Robo Force; Max Steele. Joining him will be his trusted ally, Wrecker. The figures are fully articulated, and will each stand about 7.5″ tall.

Long time fans of the property will recall that Toyfinity had revived the line a few years ago, with a long running series of Glyos compatible figure kits that paid homage to the classic look and story. The new Robo Force line is set to be a complete imagining, with a completely new look for the robots, and an all-new story. The figures will be priced at $49.99 each. Wave 2, which will include fellow Robo Force member SOTA, and the villainous Hun-Dred.

Read on for the full press release, as well as new images of the upcoming figures.

Toyfinity Press Release: THE END OF THE ROBO FORCE! And a new beginning…

Posted on June 27, 2021 at 10:53 am by Joe Moore under Robot and Mecha Toy News

Ultimates Maxx

Earlier this month, we shared news that the Nacelle Company had acquired the rights to Robo Force from Toyfinity Toys. If you missed the news, you can read about it Here. Toyfinity has sent out a press release with news about the end of their Robo Force toy line. They are going out with a bang, and releasing a final series of kits they are calling “Farewell Robo Force“. The first items, an Ultimate Edition Maxx Zero vs Nazgar 2-Pack. Check out the full press release below.

————————————————————

To the fans of Robo Force ® and the collective Masters of Zeton™:

The recent press release is true! The Robo Force is moving to a new home with the Nacelle Company, the brains behind the Toys That Made Us and many other fine programs.
Toyfinity is as thrilled as all of you are to see Nacelle spotlight the Robo Force with all-new stories, merchandise, and media!

Here at Toyfinity, we have always thought that Maxx Zero™ and the Robo Force were too cool to be left in the scrapheap of the 80s, and we have worked since 2013 to bring Maxx back to the shelves of collectors…now it is time for Maxx to ascend to even greater heights!

There have been a lot of questions about the transition, many of which we are not able contractually to answer at this time.

But what we can talk about now is a special FINAL series of Robo Force releases from Toyfinity – which we are calling FAREWELL ROBO FORCE!
Our vision of the Robo Force will be finished with the gracious permission of Nacelle.

To kick off this celebration of Maxx, we are offering a special limited-edition versus pack of the Ultimate Enemies MAXX ZERO and NAZGAR™ THE TYRANT!
It’s your final chance to add these authentic Toyfinity style versions to your collections!

The pre-order for the final conflict between these two adversaries starts tomorrow, June 27th at 8 pm Eastern.
Contractually, these are limited editions which will be offered for three weeks OR when the contractually allowed maximum quantities are reached.

If quantities still remain at the end of the pre-order period, they may be offered for sale at the end of the year.
Your purchase of these warriors will allow them to battle forever on your shelves – or to augment your existing Glyos ®/Robo Force collections!

Each Maxx Zero preorder will include a special thank you for ordering his final Toyfinity edition!
There will also be blank kits for those who want a final chance at these characters with no paint on them.

So, please do not be sad! Maxx Zero and the Robo Force now stand ready to enter a brand new phase of their incredible journey!
Instead, fear for the universe they leave behind…who knows what new threats may MANGLE the universe without his presence?

If you have been with us since the beginning (Genesis MAXX!) or just recently discovered the Robo Force, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for your support and patronage.

Toyfinity will continue!

Remember, as long as you own a Toyfinity Maxx Zero, he is ready for…
Any Mission.
Any Time.
Any Place.
Forever.

Nacelle Acquires ROBO FORCE Rights from Toyfinity Toys

Posted on June 11, 2021 at 3:44 pm by Joe Moore under Robot and Mecha Toy News

Robo Force MAXX Art

Back in 2013, our good friend John Kent formed Toyfinity Toys and announced the revival of a few 70’s and 80’s toy lines from IDEAL Toys. Among the revival were the MORDLES from the Rocks, and Bug, and Things toy line, the ZEROIDS figures, and the ROBO FORCE figures. The ROBO FORCE and ZEROIDS utilized the popular Glyos system. Each ROBO FORCE release was a modular kit, allowing you to not only build the specific figure, but create your own designs by mixing and matching parts across the ROBO FORCE line, and any kit that was built using the Glyos system. The designs not only paid homage to the original suction cup figures, it would introduce new characters, new teams, and an all-new story in the form of an excellent online comic.

Toyfinity started with blank, unpainted ROBO FORCE kits, allowing fans to completely customize the pieces to their liking. As the years went on, Toyfinity would release kits with highly detailed paint apps, new pieces, and crossover figures with Onell Design’s Glyos lines. Toyfinity worked to create a story and toy line bringing together the MORDLES, ZEROIDS, and ROBO FORCE figures into one cohesive series. We’ve been following the line since its inception, and I highly recommend checking out our ROBO FORCE Archive to see how the line has evolved over the years.

Today Deadline reports that the Nacelle Company, the makers of “The Toys That Made Us” TV series on Netflix, has acquired the rights to the ROBO FORCE brand from Toyfinity Toys. Nacelle is apparently working on a toy line, TV Series, and additional merchandise that will begin to see release at the end of 2021.

The now-defunct Ideal Toy Company created the Robo Force line for CBS in 1984. It was revived in 2013 by new rights holder, Toyfinity.

“Acquiring Robo Force is a significant step forward for our company and we want to be respectful of its past while making sure the characters and storylines are exciting to people who aren’t old, like me,” said Nacelle founder and CEO Brian Volk-Weiss. He told Deadline he’s a big far. “I absolutely watched it at the time and that’s where I fell in love with Wrecker in particular.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. For additional details, check out the Deadline story.
