MOTU Origins Sun Man 012

Mattel has sent over official photos and full details for their upcoming Sun-Man. Originally created by a Yla Eason, a mother looking to have a superhero that her son could relate to, Sun-Man was a 5.5″ tall figure released back in 1986. The figure became part of the Rulers of the Sun toy line from Yla Eason’s Olmec Toys, which included Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American superhero action figures in a completely new story.

The figure is coming to Mattel Creations starting Monday, September 13th. Sun-Man will be priced at $35. The figure includes two interchangeable portraits, swap out hands, removable wings, a shield, and a sword with a flame effect. The packaging for the figure will feature a comic retelling the hero’s origin story. MOTU Origins Mosquitor 002 1

Pre-orders are now live for the Masters of the Universe: Origins – Mosquitor Deluxe Figure from Mattel. The retro style figure includes two interchangeable portraits, swap out right hands, a blaster, a blood spray effect, and a mini-comic. The figure is priced at about $21 and is due for release in September 2021. Also newly released is an in-packaging photos of the Eternian Palace Guard, which we initially reported on back in June. Walmart Collector Con 2021

Today is Walmart Collector Con Day 3 and there are several new items dropping. They take a bit to all get up and orderable, so check back as the morning moves forward. MOTU Origins Eternian Royal Guard 2

A pre-order listing has popped up for a Masters of the Universe Origins – Eternian Royal Guard Figure. The upcoming release features a Man-At-Arms figure with a clean shaven head sculpt. There are interchangeable pieces included to turn the figure into an Eternian Royal Guard. The pieces include a new head sculpt, swap out armor, a shield, and an axe. The figure stands at 5.5″ tall, with about 16 points of articulation.

The Eternian Royal Guard is priced at $16.99. It is scheduled for release in September 2021. See the photo after the jump.

thepowercon exclusives 2021

Powercon has revealed exclusives for the He-Man and Masters of the Universe themed convention due to take place later this year in September.   All of these are MOTU Origins based releases this go around.  Included are a Horde 4 pack, a Faker / Dupli-Cat set, and a Secrets of Grayskull set which will have Castle Grayskull themed accessories along with the figure.  Read on to check out the pics and details.

MOTU April 2021

Time for a catch up set for some recently released MOTU themed items from Mattel.  This isn’t everything that’s just released, just a little sample.  The main thing I was excited to get a hold of and run for some photos was the new MOTU Origins Castle Grayskull.  On first glance to a casual fan – it’s Castle Grayskull.  But really it’s an all new mold, everything inside is redone.  It’s completely in scale with vintage and Origins.   Key point being that when closed and on display, the front is remolded to be more in tune with the Classics version.  Gone is the deformed looking face with black marks, hello crispy clean skull face.

In addition to Grayskull we also took a look at the Land Shark vehicle, Tri-Klops, Deluxe Clamp Champ, and MOTWWEU Wave 5.  That included Roddy Piper, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, Macho Man, and Becky Lynch.  All in the MOTU Orgins body style with MOTU style armor.  That line just continues to work!

MOTU Origins Rise of Evil 2 Pack

A new MOTU Set from Mattel has been listed at Target.com. The Masters of the Universe Origins – Keldor and Kronis Rise of Evil 2-Pack is listed as a Target Exclusive. It features Keldor and Kronis, who go on to become Skeletor and Trap Jaw. Keldor includes a staff, a sword, and a swap out Skeletor portrait. Kronis includes a blaster rifle.
