The Capullo Designer Series figures have been some of my favorites since it launched back in 2014. A consistent scale and art direction with limited scope over the course of years. The way the line has progressed reminds me of the slow burn you get with S.H. Figuarts figures (DBZ in particular). Which is fine with me, you get a quarterly-ish drop of a couple new figs. The figures are some of DC Collectibles best, featuring a bulky 7 inch scale and more articulation than most other offerings. They are continuing the line way past it’s original intent, and have now dug into later arcs of the Greg Capullo run. Today’s shoot is of the CGPD Batman Mech Suit 2 pack, coming with the inner figure and the suit in one box. Minor spoilers – this isn’t Bruce Wayne, it’s Jim Gordon who took up the mantle of Batman on behalf of the Gotham Police Department using a mechanized suit when Batman went missing. You’ll see the police vibe on the figure once you realize what it is. Let’s take a closer look after the break with 50+ shots courtesy of site sponsor Entertainment Earth!

We wrap up our DC Collectibles Capullo Designer Series galleries today with a look at Zero Year Survival Batman. This rendition of the Bats shows off his look from the Zero Year story arc telling his first year as Batman and the Riddler’s eventual take over of Gotham. It’s his first major act as the Batman, he’s wearing a proto Batsuit with more real world accessory tech meant for infiltration so he can liberate the city. The figure is one of the sharpest yet so let’s take a look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

DC Collectibles Capullo Designer Series figures have been some of the best DC action figures produced – if not in recent times then ever. 7 Inch scale, above average articulation, bulky sculpts with detail, great paint. The only thing off-putting (to some) is the artistic take on the faces, meant to capture the art style of Greg Capullo, artist during the New 52 era and arguably one of the greatest Batman runs in the comics. The line proved so popular that they’ve extended it beyond the initial 12. End Game Joker begins the second wave, he’ll be joined by Wonder Woman, Flash, Survival Gear Batman, and a Jim Gordan Batman / GCPD Mech 2 pack. We’re taking a look at End Game Joker today, so head on in to see him go head to head with Batman courtesy of Entertainment Earth!
