Time for another round of DC Comics Multiverse from Mattel as we march to the epic conclusion of the line! Wave 12 is the Batman Ninja wave and consists of TV Black Lighting, Rebirth Jon Stewart Green Lantern, along with Titans Nightwing, Starfire, Beast Boy and Wally West (red hair) Kid Flash. The Collect N Connect is Batman Ninja. All are in 6 Inch scale and feature Mattel’s recent levels of articulation which is very solid – double jointed, swivel cuts, rocker feet and the like. Paint is solid for a mass release retail figure on them all, with Black Lightning getting a more complicated sculpt and paint application to match the TV show look. The rest are simple by design and executed appropriately.
Batman Ninja however really shines, he has ornate sculpt and paint to match head to toe and a rubberized cape that moves with posing. Articulation is great allowing for a wide range of elbow movement to compliment the sword. While it isn’t as refined as import versions already on market, it is a really nice figure in hand all together and worthy of attention. IMO, he’s just about the right for the character being a secondary option that only some will be into. The only downsides are that the cape can not be removed without losing the head, and the sheath for the sword does not attach to the body.
All in all a solid wave, especially for the Titans love. These guys are out now, hit our sponsors below along with sites like Amazon and eBay. Read on to check out over 120 HD images of the entire wave thanks to Mattel!
Mattel is on it’s farewell tour with DC Comics Multiverse but we still have lots of product left in 2019, including today’s additions to the Signature Collection – Batman Returns Penguin and The Dark Knight Joker! Both are classic Batman villains as they were seen in the movies, with likenesses and gear to match what was seen on screen. The Penguin comes with a soft goods coat, top hat, umbrella with effects piece and an extra sets of hands. The Joker comes with two guns and a playing cards piece with the Joker on top. DC Multiverse continues it’s all encompassing DC Universe line up with Wave 9! This round includes Gotham by Gaslight Batman, Rebirth Wonder Woman, Rebirth Ray, Rebirth Vixen and a Collect and Connect Super Warsuit Lex Luthor. Mattel continues their 4 figs per CnC method and I personally dig it, gets you right into the action. You can pair these with the 2 Wal-Mart exclusives – Harley Quinn and Spoiler to get the extra Lex Luthor pieces and make him complete. Those will get you the Apokolips head and Mother Box.
On top of these 4 figs releasing recently, the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman Signature Series has also dropped. This is Mattel’s higher end version of Multiverse that comes with a display base, stand, display card and extra paint and refinement. It’s based on the 70’s Wonder Woman TV show and features a really well done Lynda Carter likeness. She also has extra hands and a cape! Out of the 3 released so far – Val Kilmer Batman, John Wesley Ship Flash and now Lynda Carter Wonder Woman, this one shines with The Flash right behind her.
All of these are out now or set to drop soon, check our sponsors below and your local shops if you see anything you dig!
We’ve run the lot of them through a gallery session. Read on to check the 85+ HD shots that we took courtesy of Mattel!
