Time for another S.H. Figuarts Dragonball gallery as we work our way through a backlog of 2019 figures! Today’s is for Evil Majin Buu, or Super Buu, depending on what wording you prefer. This is the second form of Buu we’ve got in the line, the first being Fat Buu in his innocent pudgy form. Evil Buu is tall, and features tons of articulation even with the baggy pants. He comes packed with 3 heads, 4 sets of hands and an extra head for Fat Buu that has his antennae pointing forward with an energy effect for it, so you can recreate the candy creation scenes. The Buu saga was never my favorite, but the figures we now have for the Saga is one of the most well rounded to date. Kid Buu can’t come fast enough.

Whooha, Tamashii Nations just dropped a biggie. THREE new repaints were revealed for their upcoming Dragonball World Tour stops. Goku Black will be getting a repaint with clear pink hair and a pink energy aura effects piece. Ultimate Son Gohan, will be getting reissued, this time with a new Super Saiyan head and yelling standard face. Lastly, Golden Frieza gets reissued with slightly different gold tones. These three will join the fourth item – Kid Goku in his purple gear. The tour stops will be global this go around, but there are at least two North America stops – San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. Check out DB-Tour.com for more details on the events. Double header today with a look at Dragonball Super Broly! Broly and Gogeta released together in Japan, so those who want a solid rep of the DBS Broly movie can get their fill all at once. Broly is another beast of a figure, standing towers over every other character in the line (other than Shenron). He keeps his now official canon look with the pelt around his waist, purple tights and scarred chest. This release is pretty vanilla, no energy balls, 2 extra sets of hands and two extra faces. It’s still a really well done release though, quality plastic and paint, great sculpt, good range of articulation. Some energy effects, either the balls from previous Broly releases or a new mouth based blast would really make this an epic release, one can hope for down the road though.

We’re BACK! It’s been a hot minute since we’ve done S.H. Figuarts Dragonball galleries, but today we are going to start catching up. 2019 continues 2018s onslaught of figures, we are getting at least 1 a month, some with 2, plus the convention exclusive(s). So far in 2019 we’ve seen Kid Krillin, Mr. Satan, Great Saiyaman Gohan, Evil Majin Buu, and today’s look at Super Broly and Gogeta. I have them all in hand, and will be doing galleries for them all, working backwards from the most current. Broly and Gogeta were just too damn good to hold off and go in order, I had to dig into these guys asap.

For Gogeta in particular, he’s a sharp release. Colors pop, mold is sharp, good range of articulation. Only downside is that he doesn’t come with a Super Saiyan head. Only standard and blue. Some blue energy ball effects would have been nice as well. That being said, he’s definitely a top tier fig and worthy of a pick up. Last year we had the Dragonball North American Tour where Bandai Tamashii Nations traveled around to various shows and had exclusives available at them, capping off at the Dragonball Super Broly movie premiere in Los Angeles in December. This year the tour is going global, kicking off in San Diego this summer at SDCC again, with additional stops in Germany, China and Japan announced. There will be 8 in total.

The first exclusive for the event is a recolor of Kid Goku in his purple outfit. No word on price or quantities but stay tuned for more details as they drop. Last year there were 3 different figures available as tour exclusives, and the website does hint at more coming. Read on to check the pic in full!

Tamashii Nations have shared out the first pics and details for the next S.H. Figuarts Dragonball figure – King Piccolo. This is the original Dragonball anime version of Piccolo, when he was the big bad for Goku and Krillin while they were kids, before he became the mentor and friend to the crew we know today. He’s seems to be using the new body tech, comes with the birthing egg effects piece, and features a VERY original Dragonball head sculpt, two of them in fact, so he is not a repaint of the original Piccolo release. He’s due out in October 2019 in Japan for a retail price of 7920 Yen (about 71 USD). Read on to check the pics, stay tuned for full details!

Thanks to forum member Ramen Rider, we have some pretty cool Dragon Ball news to share. According to Shonen Jump, a very reliable source for S.H. Figuarts reveals, Tamashii Nations is prepping their next DB release. The listing is for a King Piccolo from the original Dragon Ball cartoon series. According to the listing, he is set for release in October, at a price of 7,200 Yen (about $65 USD). We will update with further details when they become available.

Today is the final day you can pre-order the Masters of the Universe Vintage Wave 4 Figures, as well as the Masters of the Universe Unused Japanese Packaging featuring He-Man and Skeletor. The pre-sale for the Masters of the Universe Vintage Wave 4 Figures. This 9 figure release includes Buzz Off, Evil Seed, Evil-Lyn, Glow-In-The-Dark He-Man (from EVERY MOTU episode’s transformation sequence), Shadow Orko (from She-Ra Episode 90 “Shades of Orko”), Shadow Weaver, and Stratos. In addition there are also 2 special Japanese Box versions of He-Man and Skeletor (based on original prototype packaging from the 1980’s).

Each figure is available individually for $20 each (plus shipping). All figures come with accessories and a custom history card. The carded figures also feature new and original art on the back of each card. We expect to ship these Vintage Figures in Summer 2019.

Thanks to Amiami on Twitter, we have a look at a new reveal from Tamashii Nations for the Dragonball S.H. Figuarts line – Shenron!  This looks to be a repaint of the previous one, with weathering and paint on the body and scales to refine the look.  When I first saw legendary scale I thought we were getting a bigger version, but the word looks to be referencing the paint on the “dragon skin” scales, not size.  It’s listed as display only, no release date, but Tamashii has only been showing off items they are planning to release lately so assume this guy is coming down the road.  Stay tuned for more info as it drops!

Incendium has posted two new images for their upcoming Heavy Metal 5″ Scale Figures. The new images, in-progress 3D renders, showcase the articulation range for the Taarna and ‘Nelson’ B-17 Zombie Tailgunner figures. The figures will have roughly 12 points of articulation, including double jointed knees. The two figures were announced last month, and pre-orders are currently live. They are priced at $29.95 each.
