Amazing Heroes Wave 7 BBTS 019

Toyark sponsor Big Bad Toy Store has opened up pre-orders for an exclusive wave of Amazing Heroes figures by Fresh Monkey Fiction. This assortment features an all-female line up. The 4.5″ tall retro style figures features about 5 points of articulation. They started off as characters from the Golden Age of comics, but have since expanded to include more modern independent heroes. Included are:

BBTS Amazing Heroes Wave 001

A new assortment of Amazing Heroes figures from Fresh Monkey Fiction has gone up for pre-order. This Retroverse assortment is exclusive to Big Bad Toy Store, and features eight figures. The 4.5″ tall retro style figures features about 5 points of articulation. They started off as characters from the Golden Age of comics, but have since expanded to include more modern independent heroes. This assortment includes:

  • Atoman
  • Vulcan
  • Black Fury
  • Black Cobra
  • Lash Lightning
  • The Claw
  • Captain Tootsie
  • The Blue Flame

z Tamashii Nations Pac Man Figures

Tamashii Nations has updated with product pages for their all-new Pac-Man collectibles. They are releasing a Pac-Man S.H. Figuarts action figure, a Chogokin Pac-Man, and a Pac-Man Proplica. These were originally revealed back at the Tamashii Nation Virtual Event in November.

The S.H. Figuarts Pac-Man stands just over 4″ tall. It’s based on the iconic promotional artwork used for legendary video game. The figure has over 22 points of articulation, and will include multiple interchangeable hands, two swap out face parts, an 8-bit Cherry accessory, and an 8-bit Blinky accessory. The figure is due for release in May 2021. It will be priced at 4,420 Yen (about $23 USD).

Fans looking for something a little different may want to check out the Chogokin Pac-Man. This release features a Pac-Man mini figure that stands a little under 1″ tall that fits inside a 4″ tall robotic Pac-Man mech suit, which features diecast metal parts. The robotic Pac-Man is fully articulated, has moveable eyes, has fists that detach, and can be transformed into a makeshift vehicle mode. The set includes four robotic ghosts (Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde), and a figure stand. The Chogokin Pac-Man is due out in August 2021. It will be priced at 8,800 Yen (about $85 USD).

The final Pac-Man piece is a Proplica Pac-Man. This release is meant to be a replica of the actual Pac-Man from the game. It has a wheel on the bottom that allows you to roll the Pac-Man along. His mouth will open and close when being rolled, and he will also play the iconic “Waka-waka” sound effects as he moves. Roll him long enough, and you will hear the “coffee break” intermission music. The Proplica Pac-Man stands a little over 3″ tall, and will include a display stand. It’s due to hit stores in June 2121. It’s priced at 3,850 Yen (about $37 USD).

NYCC 2020 Rocketeer Vinimate 001

Yesterday, the first New York Comic-Con 2020 Exclusives by Diamond Select Toys were revealed. Today, they have added another collectible to the line up. Their fifth NYCC 2020 Exclusive is The Rocketeer (Noir) Vinimate. The variant features a black, white, and silver paint deco. It will be priced at $9.99, and will be available exclusively via DST. ECCC2020 Exclusives DST

Emerald City Comic-Con Exclusives Are Here!

Earlier this year, Diamond Select Toys was psyched to attend their first-ever Emerald City Comic-Con! Unfortunately, the show was not to happen, and DST will have to wait for 2021 to visit Seattle, but the exclusives they had planned for the show are here, and they’re available for purchase on shop.diamondselecttoys.com!

The first exclusive, limited to only 250 pieces, is the DC Comic Vinimates Emerald Knight Green Lantern Vinyl Figure! Cast in translucent material, this 4-inch figure captures Hal Jordan in block-figure form and retails for only $9.99. The second exclusive, also limited to 250 pieces, is the IT Vinimates Bloody Pennywise Vinyl Figure! Haloween ComicFest 2020

Halloween ComicFest 2020 to Feature Expanded Line of PREVIEWS Exclusive Collectibles

Halloween ComicFest, the comic book industry’s premiere Halloween event, will take place at comic book shops across the United States on Saturday, October 31, 2020. On the heels of a successful Free Comic Book Summer 2020, Halloween ComicFest will shift this year to focus exclusively on merchandise and collectibles.

Halloween ComicFest 2020 will feature an expanded line of PREVIEWS Exclusive figures from a variety of vendors including Funko, Diamond Select Toys, Hiya Toys, and Cryptozoic. This year’s selection of exclusive figures boasts something for each kind of fan. With characters ranging from Marvel to RoboCop, to Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Cthulhu, fans and collectors alike will be thrilled to get their hands on these extremely limited collectibles.

Get ready for a night of Carnage! Halloween Comicfest 2020 will have an extra-scary offering this year, as Carnage goes glow-in-the-dark for one night only! Cast in glowing red material with black paint details, this PREVIEWS Exclusive Marvel Gallery Carnage PVC Statue will light up the night with fright in this approximately 9″ diorama, cast in high-quality PVC and packaged in a full-color window box.

This Halloween, it’s also Graduation Day! A Halloween Comicfest 2020 exclusive from Diamond Select Toys, this PREVIEWS Exclusive Graduation Day Buffy Vinimate depicts her in her iconic red trench coat, from the famous episode where she took on the Mayor. Measuring approximately 4″ tall, this vinyl figure has an articulated neck for additional posing options and comes packaged in a full-color window box.

RoboCop is getting into the Halloween spirit with a special PREVIEWS Exclusive release for Halloween ComicFest 2020! Hiya Toys presents this 1/18-scale action figure of RoboCop in his classic armor from the original film but with a glow-in-the-dark twist. Whether he’s protecting trick-or-treaters or out hunting ghosts on the mean streets of Detroit, this 4 1/2″ tall action figure brings an eerie Halloween glow to law enforcement!

The PREVIEWS Exclusive Forgotten Idol Cthulhu variant pays homage to the many ancient Cthulhu statues in Lovecraftian lore. This little guy will wait as long as he has to to find a good home! Sculpted by Sam Greenwell, this version of the figure features haunting dark green paint with weathered brown accents to show that this little guy has been around since the beginning of time! The 5″ collectible comes packaged in a window box with an “Exclusive Species” foil sticker.

The PREVIEWS Exclusive Irradiated Cthulhu is all charged up! Sculpted by Sam Greenwell, this version of the figure features bright glow-in-the-dark green vinyl, playfully implying that Cthulhu has absorbed radiation . . . and it has only made him more powerful! The 5″ collectible comes packaged in a window box with an “Exclusive Species” foil sticker. Both the Irradiated Cthulhu and Forgotten Idol Cthulhu figures are variants of the regular Cryptkins Unleashed vinyl figure, part of Cryptozoic’s original collectibles line inspired by creatures that have been the subject of folklore and tabloid headlines for decades.
