A recent private auction by yaksanagezhou has revealed a rather interesting item. Remember the Spiderman Classics line by Toy Biz which Hasbro later continued after obtaining the Marvel toy license back in the mid 2000’s? One of the planned releases for the Classics line was the Blue Cyber Spiderman repaint. Toy Biz’ initial version was red and grey, this release swapped out the grey for a blue and possibly a brighter red. Since this repaint was in “classic” Spiderman colors, you can understand the appeal, and subsequent disappointment once it was canceled.
