Also at the Gecco booth during San Diego Comic-Con 2016 is Erick Sosa’s Prototype Z. It looks like those two may be teaming up to release some of the collectibles. On display were a few Street Fighter Ryu collectibles.

  • Ryu – 1/6 Scale Masterpiece Edition Statues with interchangeable upper torso
  • Ryu – 1/4 Scale Masterpiece Edition Statues with interchangeable upper torso

The interchangeable torsos allow for regular or battle damaged display. Ryu is available in his standard white outfit or a “Player 2” black outfit.

New forum member grizzlor shared a link with an update on the previously announced Prototype Z Thundercats License. We hadn’t heard or seen anything since the beginning of the year, but Thundercats Lair managed to snag an update from sculptor Erick Sosa. These will be unpainted resin model kits, with Mumm-Ra and Lion-O being first up. Assembly will be required on these. Their unpainted resin kits sell for between $160 – $230, but there’s been no mention of price at this time.

They are looking for Lion-O to be approved by October. Read on to see a few in-progress 3d sculpts.

In addition to the Thundercats License, last month PrototypeZ announced that they will be picking up the DC Comics license as well. They will be offering full figure and mini bust model kits. Look for these to launch later in 2014. We’ll have more info as it becomes available.
