Eaglemoss Hero Collector Brings the Best of Battlestar Galactica to NYCC ’18

Die-Cast Vipers, Cruisers and the Galactica Herself Pull into Port at Booth #1520

(September 25, 2018 – New York, NY) Fleeing the Cylon tyranny, Eaglemoss Hero Collector escapes to Booth #1520 at the New York Comic Con with new ships from both the classic 1978 and renowned 2004 Battlestar Galactica TV series. Developed in collaboration with members of the modern Galactica VFX team, each ship in the Battlestar Galactica: The Official Ships Collection measures between 8 and 11 inches long, is crafted from die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials, and comes with a 16-page magazine that profiles the ship and features interviews with the show’s creators including Ronald D. Moore.

Officially authorized by Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, all four ships in the series released to date will be on display and available at special convention pricing, including:

  • Viper Mark II – measuring 10.6 inches in length, this versatile fighter appeared in almost every episode of the critically acclaimed 2004 Battlestar Galactica television series and features the Starbuck callsign and tail number, along with authentic wear-and-tear effects
  • Cylon Raider – at 9.8 inches in length, this is the primary attack fighter used by the Cylons as seen in the 2004 series
  • Galactica – the modern version of the Colonial super battleship that survived the Cylon assault on the twelve colonies, becoming protector and provider for humanity’s only survivors. Realized at 10.5 inches in length, no other ship has more heart and soul than this battle-worn behemoth
  • Viper Mark I (convention debut) – this is it! – the original Colonial fighter jet introduced in the original Battlestar Galactica series from 1978!

Hero Collector also invites all attendees to stop by Booth #1520 every day for the chance to win one of more than ## daily “Bundles of Joy.” Day 1 will award the Star Trek Discovery Bundle, featuring 5 ships from the Star Trek: Discovery Official Starships Collection. Day 2 will award the Battlestar Galactica Bundle, featuring all 4 ships in the collection released to date. Day 3 spotlights the Batman Universe Busts Bundle, including 12 busts from the collection. And on Day 4, the Star Trek Starships XL Bundle, with 5 ships from the collection, will be awarded.

Eaglemoss Celebrates Women in Space with Star Trek Female Led Starships

Posted on June 16, 2018 at 10:47 am by Tony_Bacala under Star Trek Toy News

Eaglemoss is celebrating women in space by giving us a sweet sale on select Star Trek Starships Collection pieces, namely the ones that were helmed by female captains! Over at the Eaglemoss Shop, you can use code JANEWAY at checkout for 15% off. Check out their official press release and images after the break!

They Boldly Went Where No Woman Had Gone Before

Eaglemoss Celebrates the First Women in Space!

One was a Soviet cosmonaut, selected from among more than 400 applicants to soar into space on the Vostok 6 mission on June 16, 1963. Twenty years and two days later – on June 18, 1983 – an American astronaut rose to similar heights of fame aboard the space shuttle Challenger. They were, respectively, Valentina Tereshkova and Sally Ride. The course they charted for women — in their own countries and around the world — continues to resonate throughout the cosmos.

Eaglemoss Collections, creators of Star Trek themed collectibles produced under license from CBS Studios, is proud to salute these true pioneers on the 55th and 35th anniversaries of their respective historic launches into space with special 15% savings on stunningly detailed, die-cast models available online at the Eaglemoss Shop.

Here are five of the most significant Federation starships that, according to Star Trek canon, flew under the leadership of female Starfleet captains and commanders.

U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 (Star Trek: Voyager)
Captain Kathryn Janeway

U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
Captain Rachel Garrett

U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax

U.S.S. Pasteur NCC-58925 (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
Captain Beverly Picard (alternate future)

U.S.S. Shenzhou NCC-1227 (Star Trek: Discovery)
Captain Philippa Georgiou

From now through June 18, visitors to the Eaglemoss Shop can enjoy 15% off the regular price of their entire purchase by entering the promo code JANEWAY when prompted at checkout. Certain restrictions apply.

Fans can also subscribe to any of the many Star Trek themed collections offered by Eaglemoss, including the Official Star Trek Starships Collection, soon to approach 160 officially authorized ships. Subscribers enjoy even more savings, receive exclusive free gifts and gain access to special editions. To learn more, visit Eaglemoss’ Star Trek Collections mini-site.

Pioneers of space, Valentina Tereshkova and Sally Ride paved the way for so many women who followed and – as Star Trek fans know better than most – are destined to do likewise.

Shenzhou NCC-1227 is discounted at $9.95 when you join.  Check out full details below and hit the jump for the images!

EAGLEMOSS COLLECTIONS OFFERS FIRST LOOK AT SHIPS OF STAR TREK: DISCOVERY!
First Dozen Models Feature All-New Designs of Federation and Klingon Empire Vessels
(January 9, 2018 – New York, NY) – Hot on the heels of the return of the hit series Star Trek: Discovery
to CBS All Access, Eaglemoss Collections is proud to offer fans a chance to check out the all-new ship
designs joining the U.S.S. Shenzhou NCC-1227 and U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031 in the Official Star Trek:
Discovery Starships Collection.

Currently on display at HeroCollector.com/StarTrekDiscovery, renderings of the 12 ships that make
up the first wave of models in the collection are each based on the original VFX models created for the
show. They include 7 Federation ships (including the U.S.S. Kerala NCC-1255, U.S.S. Yeager NCC-1437
and U.S.S. Europa NCC-1648) and 5 Klingon vessels (including the reimagined Klingon Bird-of-Prey and
Qugh Class Destroyer).

These renderings serve as the basis for the creation of the die-cast models themselves, painstakingly
reproduced under the supervision of Star Trek expert Ben Robinson and officially authorized by CBS
Studios. Averaging 8” to 10” from bow to stern, each ship in this special collection is incredibly
detailed, cast in a specially formulated metallic resin and hand painted for accuracy.

Each ship also comes with a display base, as well as an exclusive collector’s magazine featuring behind
the scenes info, original design sketches and a breakdown of technology on board.

Fans who subscribe to the collection will receive their first ship – the U.S.S. Shenzhou NCC-1227 – for
only $9.95 with FREE shipping. Additional models – including the iconic U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031 –
will then ship monthly for the special subscriber’s price of only $44.95 each (20% off the standard
retail price), also with FREE shipping.

Subscribers are also entitled to free gifts worth over $100 and may cancel their subscriptions at any
time. Full details may be found at www.eaglemoss.com/DiscoveryStarships.

Posted on January 1, 2018 at 4:23 pm by Joe Moore under Toyark Spotlight

In 2017, we completed more photo shoots than any other year we’ve been live. We shared over 270 Total Collectible and Action Figure Galleries, totaling well over 350 action figures and collectibles. Between the three main staff members, we spent nearly every day this year photographing and prepping a photo shoot to share with our fans and readers. While I can’t promise that we’ll keep up that blistering pace in 2018, I can promise we’ll continue to bring everyone some fantastic galleries throughout the year. So, if you would like to revisit any of our photo shoots, or feel like you missed a few dozen galleries, you can see the full selection of photo shoots after the jump!

Toyark Staff Pick Their Top 17 of 2017

Posted on January 1, 2018 at 1:06 pm by Joe Moore under Spawn Toy News, Toyark Spotlight

With 2017 behind us, the Toyark staff have picked their Top 17 Pick Ups and Photo Shoots of 2017. These are just our personal favorite items we’ve acquired last year. In 2017, we worked to really step up our photography with the introduction of our own personal environments, as well as the excellent backdrops by Extreme Sets. This is a trend that will continue into 2018 as we work to improve the quality of the photo shoots that (we hope) you enjoy as much as we do. Last year, we also had the greatest variety of collectible types we’ve ever shot. We’ve had the pleasure of working with companies such as NECA, Bluefin, Quantum Mechanix, Boss Fight Studio, DC Collectibles, McFarlane Toys, Chronicle Collectibles, Gecco, Diamond Select Toys and many more.

After the jump, you will find the top picks by myself, Tony Bacala and Destro, along with links to the corresponding galleries. Feel free to list out what figures or collectibles you enjoyed in 2017 by joining in on the discussion thread.
