SH Figuarts DBZ Tien Shinhan Set 002

Product pages are live now for the Dragon Ball Z – S.H. Figuarts Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu. The figure is listed as a Premium Bandai Japan Web Exclusive and is listed on Premium Bandai USA (probably an exclusive) as well. The set features updated versions of both figure. Tien Shinhan will include multiple interchangeable hands, and three head sculpts. The last release features a pre-posed Chiaotzu as an accessory. This time, Chiaotzu is a fully articulated figure, which will also include a few interchangeable hands.

Pre-orders will go live tonight at 9:00 PM EST. The figure will ship out in October 2021.

DBZ SH Figuarts Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu Preview 001

Last seen back at the Tamashii Nations 2020 Virtual Event, the new versions of the Dragon Ball Z – S.H. Figuarts Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu are going up for pre-order later this week. Tamashii Nations has released a few images. The new set features updated versions of both figure. Tien Shinhan will include multiple interchangeable hands, and three head sculpts. The last release features a pre-posed Chiaotzu as an accessory. This time, Chiaotzu is a fully articulated figure, which will also include a few interchangeable hands.

Pre-orders will go live on Friday, April 9th. We’ll update as more details become available. Check out a few new photos after the jump.

Tamashii Nation 2020 DBZ 019

A massive virtual event is being held by Tamashii Nations. Their “Tamashii Nation 2020” online event features numerous reveals from a number of their lines. For the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball line up, they revealed nearly a dozen figures. Included are:

  • Nappa – Saiyan Invasion
  • Bulma – Planet Namek
  • Cell Shell
  • Vegeta – Proud Saiyan Prince
  • Super Saiyan Full Power Son Goku
  • Yamcha
  • Tien Shinhan
  • Chiaotzu

Finally, The Rock has come back… wait wrong rock. Today we are taking a look at the Tamashii Nations Effect Rock. These are modular pieces that start as smaller rocks, combine up to half mounds, and then finally into a circular boulder. How you use or display them is up to you. They can be rubble scattered around, a base for a figure, or a huge thing in the background of your photography or display shelves. They use peg connectors to fit together, and when not combined they can take a standard Tamashii Stage stand in the ports. So you can have your figures hovering or dynamically posed, using any one of the pieces as a weight. Overall it’s a great accessory piece that is useful for displays. We’ve taken shots showing some of what it can do with different figures after the break, read on to check em out!

S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z continues this month with the release of Tien Shinhan! Tien is a core original character dating back to the original Dragonball series. The S.H. Figuarts version here is based on his Saiyan Saga look, shirtless with green pants. He comes packed with 4 sets of hands including one for a tri-beam plus one other, 4 total heads, and his companion Chiaotzu. To cap it off we get an extra piece so that Chiaotzu can attach the the back of Nappa and re-create the epic scene from the show where Chiaotzu sacrifices himself for the team (bad decision).

He is another well done piece, using the new articulation tech in the hips and pants, forward rotating shoulders, matte paint and textured plastic to reduce the shine. Paint is minimal but well applied throughout. Plastic quality is high and joints keep their position. We’ve got 45+ HD images, let’s take a closer look after the break!

They had numerous other DBZ figures and more on display. Also, Toyark will have a photo displayed during the event at the Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball Z display. Check out the official images and details for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuarts Tien Shinhan with Chiaotzu. In Japan, the duo will be a Premium Bandai Web Exclusive. Look for Bluefin to announce North American release details soon. The figure will stand over 6″ tall. The Tien figure will include five interchangeable hands, three different portraits, and his little buddy Chiaotzu. The Chiaotzu figure attaches to the back of Nappa.

The S.H. Figuarts Tien Shinhan with Chiaotzu will go up for pre-order beginning on July 14th. Look for the figure to be released, in Japan, this December. It’s priced at 7,020 Yen (about $62 USD). See the photos after the jump.

Thanks to Naughty Guy on Facebook we have a look at a Japanese magazine scan showing off some new S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z items. Nothing completely new, but we do get some welcomed confirmation. The upcoming SHF DBZ Tien will come with his little buddy Chiaotzu, and Yamcha will come with the Saibaman seen at the NYC Tamashii World Tour event. Both are welcome additions to already awesome looking figures. Read on to check the pic!

The Tamashii Nations World Tour started today in New York City. It was the equivalent of an oversized San Diego Comic Con booth featuring all of Tamashii Nations products on display, but just them in a cornered off area of Grand Central Station in NYC.
