Longbox Heroes 001

The fine folks over at Fresh Monkey Fiction, along with sponsor Big Bad Toy Store, have another Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) Crowdfunding Campaign going. The new Longbox Heroes 4.5 inch scale figures will feature comic legends and indie characters plus should scale well with the Amazing Heroes line they’ve been putting out.

The current figures available for order are: MADMAN, THE GOON, CASSIE HACK, THE TICK, GRENDEL, and MR MONSTER. Each of these have a MOQ of 1500 units each. They all pass or fail individually, so if they get 1500+ orders on BBTS, they will be made.

THE ROCKETEER, BLACK PHANTOM, and the ONSLAUGHT TROOPER – these are also available to order now, and their MOQ is combined since they are mostly repaints of each other. If the total between the three hit 2100 units or more, then they will be made.

There are 5 stretch goals and a mystery figure listed as well.  If all figures in the regular Longbox group above hit MOQ, then the Mystery Figure will be revealed and become orderable.  The stretch goals for the Longbox group are an OBLIVION TROOPER, SUBZERO TROOPER, BADLANDS TROOPER, HELLFIRE TROOPER, and another Mystery Figure.

Longbox Heroes Collection BBTS 017

Last week, we were able to share an exclusive look at The Rocketeer, one of the new figures coming to the retro-inspired Longbox Heroes Collection from Fresh Monkey Fiction and ToyOtter. The new figure line stands at 4.5″ tall, with each figure having about 7 points of articulation. The full assortment is now up for pre-order as Big Bad Toy Store Exclusives. The lineup includes characters from The Rocketeer, The Tick, Hack/Slash, and more!

Independent toy makers take on independent comic book icons! The LongBox Heroes Collection™ is the toy line that fans have been waiting for and features a selection of action figures based on some of the biggest names in creator-owned comic books heroes (and villains).

These brand new 5-inch retro-styled action figures have been meticulously created to have the look and feel of arguably the most popular form factor of classic superhero action figures of the 1980’s, along with all the playable articulation fans expect and deserve. Each figure is packaged on a blister card featuring classic artwork of your favorite character.

The Longbox Heroes Collection is a collaboration with Fresh Monkey Fiction and designer/sculptor ToyOtter Toys and exclusively offered through BigBadToyStore.

The individual figures are priced at $24.99 each. BBTS is also offering a 3-pack of the characters from The Rocketeer, and a 7-pack of the other characters.
