It’s been a hot minute (again), but today we have another entry for our S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball galleries. This go round is Tao Pai Pai, a big baddie from the original Dragon Ball anime. He comes packed with a ton of stuff – alternate gi parts, 7 total hands, 3 faces, the 7 star Dragon Ball, a giant pink pillar that he zooms around on like Aladdin, and a stylized stand to raise him up on said pillar. It’s a really well executed piece – that I wish I cared more about. I personally got into the Dragonball Universe with Z, so I don’t have the connection to OG anime characters beyond maybe Kid Goku and Krillin. I am staying complete here since I’ve been in the grind for 10 years with this line, but personally I’d be happy if they reduced focus on this part of the history.
