NECA has shared a preview for their upcoming Trick r’ Treat – Sam 7″ Scale Figure. This is the second Sam figure they have announced, as a Sam Retro Clothed 8″ Scale Figure is coming in August. While not confirmed at this time, Sam will likely be getting the Ultimate Figure treatment. We’ll update with further details and images as they become available. This past weekend New Jersey Collectors Con held their spring show and both Boss Fight Studio and Marauder Gun Runners were in attendance with new items!
Boss Fight had new figures from Bucky O’Hare, the new Sam and Max line, the next Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. Fantasy Wave, H.A.C.K.S. blanks and accessory kits, plus our first look at the retooled Boss Fight Zombies.
Marauder had show exclusives plus a lot of recently released items out including multiple variants of the 3.75 inch articulated dogs, Exo Suits, Contractor Ops, WWII prototypes and 1/12 scale replica weapons.

At Toy Fair 2019, we got our first look at the new Sam and Max action figures from Boss Fight Studio. During the event, they also released official photos and details for the duo. The figures, based on the comics, video games and animated series by Steve Purcell, are officially 6″ Scale, and each includes their own accessories. Sam will come with interchangeable heads and hands, a removable hat, the Max paper bag puppet, a pistol, and a drink. Max will also include swap out heads and hands, a hammer, his own pistol, and the rat and rotary telephone.
The Sam and Max: Freelance Police figures are set for release later this year. The specific time frame and final pricing are still being worked out. You can see the new photos and the official details after the jump.
The devious Sam from Trick ‘r Treat joins NECA’s clothed figure line up. Trick ‘r Treat is an excellent anthology horror film by writer and director Michael Dougherty, who is directing Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Sam is featured in the film as the character that ties each of the stories together. If you break th rules of Halloween, then you’ll pay the price. The new 8″ scale figure includes a removable burlap mask, a burlap trick or treat sack, and his half eaten lollipop. Sam stands about 5″ tall. The figure is set for a third quarter release. NECA sent over the official images and you can see them by clicking the headline of the story.
Trick ‘R Treat – 8” Scale Clothed Action Figure – Sam
NECA proudly presents the return of Sam, the mysterious trick-or-treater from 2007’s cult classic film, Trick R Treat! In scale with NECA’s other 8” clothed figures, Sam stands at approximately 5” tall and is dressed in his footie pajamas featuring a removable burlap sack that reveals his unmasked head with jaw articulation. Ready for Halloween night, Sam also includes a Trick or Treat bag and lollipop. Comes in clamshell packaging featuring custom art made just for this release.
The Boss Fight Studio 3.75″ Figure display at Toy Fair 2019 had a few new figure debuts, as well as our first look at their next series. Updates include Sam & Max, Bucky O’Hare, their new Zombie Figures, the Steeds, their young girls line called “I Am Brilliance”, & more.

NECA came out swinging with a ton of new Horror figures for Toy Fair 2019. Halloween 2, new 6″ cartoon style horror figures, They Live, Trick ‘R Treat, Nightbreed and more! They revealed that they will be staring a “Conjuring Universe” line, featuring the creepy characters from the long running film franchise. Other licenses presented here are IT, Friday the 13th, Gremlins, the Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection, and others. Boss Fight Studio revealed a first look at their upcoming Sam and Max 6” Scale Action Figures. No release date has been revealed at this time. Click the banner image to check them out.
Boss Fight Studio has announced a new license acquisition! They will be producing action figures based on Steve Purcell’s Sam & Max. The characters have been seen in their own comic series, video games, and an animated series. Sam, a 6′ tall dog, is a private investigator, while Max is a short white rabbit. The comic series debuted in 1987, and was followed by a Lucasarts developed video game in 1993. There was a 27-episode animated TV series that ran on Fox Kids in 1997. The characters would also appear in the video game Poker Night at the Inventory 1 & 2, along with a host of other characters from various movies, cartoons and video games.
Details have not yet been revealed. We’ll update when more info is available.
Pre-orders are live for the upcoming 15″ Mega Scale Trick ‘r Treat Sam Figure by Mezco Toyz. The fully articulated figures has a cloth outfit as well as a removable mask. More details from Mezco:
