Spawn 2021 Wave 2

Earlier today, McFarlane Toys showed off Wave 2 of the new Spawn’s Universe (working title) of action figures. The new wave includes two repaints and 3 new figs. Gunslinger Spawn, previously exclusive to Target, gets a mass retail release with some updated paint and a new Gatling gun. Dark Redeemer gets done up in a black and silver deco that is inspired by the original Anti Spawn look. The new figures include She-Spawn, who was recently introduced and will be part of the third new Spawn book this year “The Scorched”, a team up book. Cy-Gor, who looks like a Megafig, rightfully so. And then semi newcomer Soul Crusher. You can check out our Wave 1 and previous galleries here.

zz Spawns Universe Splash

Modern articulated Spawn figures are here!  Over the last several years we’ve got little nuggets here and there from McFarlane Toys, a Spawn here and a Spawn there, all slowly working in their modern technology and design styles (Check our galleries for them here).  In 2021 the Spawn’s Universe initiative on the comics side has bled into the toys with a full new series of Spawn action figures.  Wave 1 consists of 3 different size classes and 5 figures.

• 7 Inch Redeemer (+ Chase)
• 7 Inch Raven Spawn

Pre-orders have popped up on Target.com for the new Spawn’s Universe 7″ Scale Figures by McFarlane Toys. The figures are from the first wave of  the new Spawn Universe line, with many more planned for the future. The figures are scheduled for release this August. Included are the following figures:

McFarlane June 2021 Spawn Previews Scans 008

A few more scans are showing up from the latest Previews Catalog showing more upcoming releases from McFarlane Toys. Included are the next Mortal Kombat 11 Spawn, and a few figures from the upcoming Spawn 7″ Scale Toy Line, which we initially saw Here. Included are:

Spawn Universe Toys 01

Spawn’s Universe is a new initiative from Todd McFarlane to expand the Spawn… uh… Universe beyond the traditional single Spawn book.  This will bring in all the supporting characters, alternate versions of Spawn and more under one roof.  In addition to multiple books, we are also getting some toys!  A teaser image has been shared showing off figures that we’ve seen tucked away in product videos and the like over the last several months.  Included are:

• Gunslinger Spawn – 7 Inch Wave 1 – $24.99
• Redeemer – 7 Inch Wave 1 – $24.99

On top of seeing them full on, they are also set to drop soon, August 2021.  PreviewsWorld.com has them listed already so most comic shops and online retailers should have these guys available for pre-order soon.  Toyark Forum member jwyss234 also let us know they are in the Target and Gamestop systems, so assume larger retailers will have them as well.

We are not 100% on the make up of the waves – one of those above could be a Build a Figure and not part of wave 1.  Stay tuned for more details!
