DC Multiverse Gallery Update – Batman, Hellbat, Joker Nightwing, Wonder Woman and More!

Posted on May 18, 2021 at 3:45 pm by Tony_Bacala under DC Toy News, Random Photo Shoot

z DC Multiverse May 2021 1

Time for another round of McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse galleries!  We have a chunk here, and some more incoming this week.  To kick things off let’s take a look at recent releases that all have one thing in common – being a repaint or a retool of a previous figure.  McFarlane Toys has been doing that a lot lately.  Instead of blasting the market with an overprint of a mold that then clogs shelves, we’ve been getting smaller runs with multiple re-uses after the fact.  Aside from wave 1 stuff early on of course.  All of today’s figures fall in that category:

• Batman Hellbat – Gold Variant
• Red Death Batman – Gold Label Edition
• Joker Nightwing
• Last Knight on Earth Wonder Woman – w/ Dr. Fate Helmet
• Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman – Unmasked
• Batman by Todd McFarlane – Blue Deco
• White Knight Batman – Red Variant

Some of these are variants to taste, others are more significant and represent the character on page.   All of these are out now, or will be soon so hit your preferred retailers to pick up your copies.  We will have more McFarlane DC Multiverse galleries soon (check out our previous sets here).

Read on for some additional thoughts and over 100 HD images, courtesy of McFarlane Toys!

zzz Dark Night Metals Multiverse

Time for our last round of late 2020 McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse galleries!  Today is all about the Dark Nights Metal sub theme.  It also features McFarlane’s fist dip into the buildable figure angle, which they are calling Collect to Build (CTB).   Split among 4 figures in the wave, you get parts to build out a larger than average “The Merciless” – which is Batman from another Dark Earth that defeated and took on the powers of Ares, God of War, in order to battle Wonder Woman and the Amazons.  And won.  Inside you’ll find pics and thoughts for:

• The Batman Who Laughs – Sky Tyrant Wings
• Batman – Dark Nights Metal
• Robin (Crow) – 3 varaints
• Superman (Infected)
• The Flash vs Red Death
• The Merciless (Collect to Build)

Read on for our thoughts on it all and over 135 pics (some) courtesy of McFarlane Toys (the others courtesy of my wallet)!

Prime 1 Studio 2020 Next Level Showcase 228

Prime 1 Studio held a massive online reveal event last night, which they called the Prime 1 Studio Next Level Showcase 2020. They revealed well over 30 statues. The video, which is nearly 3 hours long. The first hour recaps many of their past statues. However, the remainder of the video is dedicated to detailed looks at all of these upcoming statues. Since the video is so long, I’ve taken the time to do detailed screen captures (over 225) of all of the new items, and broken down the reveals below. Sizes weren’t mentioned for all of them, but they are typically 1/4 scale and 1/3 scale. I’ve skipped sketches, which went by very quickly. You can see those images, and watch the video after the jump. For the Transformers reveals, check TFW2005’s coverage Here and Here.
