Known also as Piccolo Jr., or Ma Junior, Piccolo started off as a dangerous adversary of Goku’s. Eventually, a mutual respect was formed between Goku and Piccolo, and he eventually becomes one of their greatest allies. At this time, there is no additional info available. The announcement states that more details will be coming soon. We will update as more images and details are released.
Dragon Ball catch up week continues today here at Toyark with a set for Demon King Piccolo! This is from the Dragon Ball original series sub line of the S.H. Figuarts series. This sub line features figures out of scale from the traditional S.H.F. DB line, slightly bigger. Demon King Piccolo was larger than Piccolo is in Dragonball Z, but combined with the slightly larger scale of these figures and he is a massive piece. He is taller than Broly Base Form, roughly the size of Super Buu. It’s well executed – good articulation, big bulky frame, sharp details in the faces, good anime specific accessories. Colors pop and paint is applied well throughout.
He does what he’s supposed to do, but as with all the standard Dragon Ball era figures – doesn’t get me hyped. I started in Z and have yet to fully run the original series, only catching clips and synopsis, backstory in the video games etc. I appreciate S.H. Figuarts touching all the eras, but I’d be happy with a draw back to 1 a year or so.

Tamashii Nations have shared out the first pics and details for the next S.H. Figuarts Dragonball figure – King Piccolo. This is the original Dragonball anime version of Piccolo, when he was the big bad for Goku and Krillin while they were kids, before he became the mentor and friend to the crew we know today. He’s seems to be using the new body tech, comes with the birthing egg effects piece, and features a VERY original Dragonball head sculpt, two of them in fact, so he is not a repaint of the original Piccolo release. He’s due out in October 2019 in Japan for a retail price of 7920 Yen (about 71 USD). Read on to check the pics, stay tuned for full details!
Update – 3rd pic added showing the Electric Rice Cooker accessory.
Update – more pics including a third head and additional poses added!
