Classic Cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2-Packs by NECA
A rumor popped up a few weeks back that NECA was going to start selling Classic Cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2-Packs at Target Exclusives. Well, that rumor turned out to be true. The Fwoosh was given a first look at the new 2-packs. The figures are re-releases of the insanely popular San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Exclusives. The 2-packs include:
- Leonardo with Shredder
- Donatello with Krang
- Raphael with a Foot Soldier
- Michelangelo with a Foot soldier
The 2-packs will be priced at $50 each. According to the article, if sales of these sets prove popular, it opens up the chance for additional releases like this! NECA GameStop Exclusive TMNT 1990 Figures Popping Up In Stores
It looks like some GameStop stores are releasing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie 7″ Scale Figures by NECA Toys a little early. Original set to hit on February 6th, the figures have been found in at least one California GameStop. These individually packaged versions of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael are based on the 1990 TMNT film. Originally a San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Exclusive, the fan favorite figures are thankfully getting a wider release, just with a few less accessories.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring you this mind-blowing GAMESTOP EXCLUSIVE – Individually packaged 7” Scale figures from the 1990 #TMNT movie! They’re not arriving until early 2019, but you can pre-order now on the GameStop website. They’ll come in a scaled down version of the 1/4 Scale packaging and won’t have quite as many accessories, but at last, the retail release we’ve been working on for so long.

Rumor Only – Possible TMNT Listings In Target System
Please keep in mind, this is a rumor report only. According to Toy Wizards, new listings have shown up via Target’s in-store systems. The new listings indicate the Target stores will be getting an assortment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2-Packs based on the classic 80’s cartoon, and that they are being done by NECA. If true, chances are these will be repacked and/or repainted versions of the San Diego comic-Con 2017 TMNT Set. According to the report, the sets will include Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, as well as Krang, Foot Soldiers and Shredder and would be priced at $51.99 for each 2-Pack. We cannot confirm how accurate this info is, but figured it was interesting enough to share with our readers. More details if and when they are released.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie 7″ Scale Figures by NECA Toys are getting released at retail! GameStop will exclusively carry the individual releases. Pre-orders are now live for the figures. Included are Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. They won’t include all of the accessories as their SDCC counterparts, but cost only $22.99 each. Playmates Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event Photos
Today Playmates held a special event to celebrate the launch of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Toyark staff was invited to attend, and we have over 100 photos from the event. SDCC Exclusive Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Playmates
Playmates have sent through details on their SDCC 2018 exclusive Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. They are based off the new show from Nickelodeon and will be available at the Nick booth each day. Each comes in special packaging. Read on for full details and pics!
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Exclusive Figures from Playmates Toys
Playmates Toys, the longtime master toy licensee for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will offer four San Diego Comic-Con exclusive figures that are based on Nickelodeon’s brand-new animated series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Each figure will retail for $30 and will be available from Thursday to Sunday (July 19-22) at Nickelodeon’s booth, #4113.
The individually sculpted figures come in a protective “fifth panel window box” that will be placed in a 2018 San Diego Comic-Con box that features each Turtle’s name. The figures range in height from 4.25 inches for Michelangelo, to 4.75 inches for Raphael, with Donatello and Leonardo each standing at 4.5 inches tall. Each figure has 13 points of articulation and not only includes their new core weapon accessories, but also features additional decoration, details and accessories.
TMNT 1990 Movie 7-Inch Figures and Street Scene Diorama SDCC 2018 Exclusives – Toyark Photo Shoot
In 1990 a live action film based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released in theaters. Produced on a modest budget of $13 Million, the film became an instant hit, recovering it’s budget on opening weekend. The film went on to gross about $135 Million in North America, and over $200 Million Worldwide. Even without being adjusted for inflation, the 1990 film is the second highest grossing Ninja Turtles movie, out-grossed only by the 2014 reboot! The movie perfectly captured the spirit of the cartoon series, while mixing in some of the darker tone of the original comic series. To bring the titular Turtles to life, the producers turned to the puppeteer masters at Jim Henson Studio. Combining incredible costumes and outstanding puppetry, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were brought to life in a way kids never thought possible. Joining the great Turtle designs was an equally impressive Splinter puppet, and an imposing and iconic take on the Shredder. To many fans, this is still considered the best live action adaptation of the characters.
Over the last few years, NECA has been releasing outstanding 1/4 scale versions of the Turtles. They have released the 4 main Turtles, as well as a second version of Raphael with his Trench Coat. Due to popularity, NECA has kept all of the figures in circulation, and fans continue to buy them up. For San Diego comic-Con 2018, NECA has done what many fans had hoped for, and shrunk their excellent figures down to 7″ scale releases. Due to licensing restrictions, the figures can only be released as convention exclusives, with a limited online sale. The figures sold out each day of the pre-order in under 2 minutes. Along with the figures, NECA also offered a massive Street Scene Diorama, with movie themed markings. The full diorama has three tiers, stands over 18″ tall and over 24″ wide. This dio will see a general re-release without the TMNT artwork.
