z Fright Rags Halloween Figures

Fright Rags, known for fantastic licensed horror and sci-apparel, is expanding their offerings beyond clothing and have begun offering licensed collectibles. they have previously released small scale unpainted figures called Nanoforce. Today, they have opened up pre-orders for some all-new action figures. You can now pre-order their Halloween (1978) – 3.75″ Scale Retro Action Figures. They are kicking off their line with Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and Lynda Van der Klok. Each figure comes packed on a retro style card back with custom artwork for each character. The figure are in the same vein as Super7’s ReAction Figures, and have 5 points of articulation. Each figure includes some character specific accessories.

Pre-orders will be open until 11:59 PM EST on May 4th. After that, the listings will be removed from the Fright Rags website. NECA Ultimates Checklist

For their “12 Days of Downloads“, a new Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure Visual Guide has been shared by NECA. The guide brings together some of their Ultimate Figures as a large checklist. Unfortunately, they left off any items that may have been a part of other visual guides, making this an incomplete checklist of their Ultimate line up. Missing are the T2 John Connor with his bike, as well as Ultimates from Aliens, Predator, Gremlins, and Back to the Future. You can check out the Visual Guide by clicking the banner image above. z Horror ReAction 11 3 2020

Some new horror ReAction Figures are available now from Super7. The new figures feature characters from Halloween II, and the Child’s Play films. From Halloween II you can pick up both Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. There are also two versions of Chucky. One is based on Child’s Play 2, and the other is based on the “Good Guys” dolls from the franchise. They are priced at $18 each. Michael Myer’s and the Chucky figures are available now. Laurie Strode is listed as Sold Out, but will be in stock near the end of the week.

NECA Halloween II Set 027

In 1981, a sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween was released in theaters. The film picks up moments after the end of the original film. Michael Myers, having been shot multiple times, escapes into the cover of darkness as the horrors of the night become known to the town of Haddonfield. an injured Laurie Strode is sent to a hospital to recover from her battle with a killer who would turn out to be her brother. In the films final battle, Laurie Strode and Dr. Loomis team up to take down Michael Myers as he rampages through Haddonfield Hospital.

The new 2-pack from NECA Toys features 8″ scale clothed versions of Laurie Strode (in her hospital gown) and Dr. Samuel Loomis. The set is a companion piece to the previously release Halloween II Michael Myers 8″ Figure. Our friends at NECA have sent over the Halloween II 2-Pack to check out. NECA Halloween 2 Lurie and Loomis Packaging 001

NECA has released final packaged photos for their upcoming Halloween 2 – Doctor Loomis and Laurie Strode 8″ Scale Figure 2-Pack. The set features Laurie and Loomis from the final scenes of Halloween 2, as the battle Michael Myers in the hospital. Each includes a pistol, and interchangeable hand, and a Halloween 2 pumpkin from the opening credits. Look for these figures to hit early next month. You can see the photos after the jump.

Based on their appearance in the classic 1981 sequel, each figure stands approximately 8″ tall. They come complete with pistols, an interchangeable hand, and a pumpkin based on the movie poster artwork. Figures are highly detailed and fully poseable featuring the authorized likenesses of Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis.

NECA Halloween 2 Dr. Loomis and Laurie Strode Set 002

NECA has released photos and details for their upcoming Halloween 2 – Michael Myers 8″ Scale Clothed Figure. The figure includes a fabric outfit, interchangeable right hands, swap out portraits, a knife, a hammer, a syringe and scalpel. Also announced is a 2-pack featuring Dr. Loomis and Laurie Strode from the film! It includes both figures, a swap out hand for Loomis, two pistols, and a Jack O’Lantern. The figures are scheduled for a release this May. Check out details below. See the photos after the jump.

Laurie Strode NECA 026

Last year, horror fans saw the return of the Halloween franchise. The film was a combination sequel and reboot that ignores every film after the original 1978 classic. The movie brings back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, who spent the last 40 years as a survivalist, preparing for the return of Michael Myers. The big change to the mythology is that she is no longer the sister of Michael Myers in this new timeline. While there was no “AHA” moment or big twist that made this change necessary, it was still a treat to see the character return after so many years.

With the new movie came a new chance at licensing figures, and NECA Toys delivered earlier this year with a stellar Michael Myers release. They’ve followed that release with the first ever action figure based on Laurie Strode. the newly released figure is based on her appearance in Halloween 2018, and includes multiple weapons, two interchangeable portraits and more. NECA Laurie Strode Released 002

The Halloween 2018 – Laurie Strode 7″ Scale Ultimate Figure is available now via the NECA eBay Store and the NECA Amazon Store. This is the first ever action figure based on Laurie Strode. The figure includes two interchangeable portraits, an interchangeable hand, a pistol, a rifle, and a shotgun. The figure begins shipping to retailers on June 17th, and should hit stores right at the end of the month. The figure is priced at $27.99 plus shipping.
