McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat 11 SPAWN In-Hand Gallery! (And All 6 MK 11 Figures Too)

Posted on March 6, 2020 at 2:30 pm by Tony_Bacala under Random Photo Shoot, Spawn Toy News, Video Game Toy News

Mortal Kombat Spawn

A figure I’ve been waiting for years to get a hold of is finally in-hand!  That being – a modern, articulated, bad ass representation of SPAWN.  To celebrate the arrival of Spawn to the Mortal Kombat universe this weekend at the eSports tournament Final Kombat – McFarlane Toys have made a version of Spawn in figure form.  They are also doing the mainline Mortal Kombat 11 collector figures so he’s technically the MK11 version of him.  All in all though, it’s a pretty faithful representation of modern SPAWN so he can easily slide into your collection regardless of your MK11 interest.

Of note – Todd McFarlane will be at Final Kombat this weekend for the official drop of Spawn in the game.

That’s not all folks! Todd McFarlane (who recently broke the Guinness World Record with SPAWN for the “longest-running creator-owned superhero comic book series”) has been invited as a special guest to attend Final Kombat 2020, the championship finale of the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition esports series. This is where the top Mortal Kombat 11 players from around the world will compete on March 8 at Chicago’s historic Park West Theater for their share of the $100,000 prize pool.

The Final Kombat event programming will feature an exclusive first look of the Mortal Kombat 11 Official SPAWN Gameplay Trailer and an appearance by actor Keith David, who is the voice of Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11.

At Final Kombat, fans will have the opportunity to order the McFarlane Toys SPAWN Mortal Kombat Action Figure, as well as have their favorite figures and comics signed at a FREE-FAN SIGNING! There will also be a SPAWN themed photo-booth for fans to take pictures commemorating their on-site experience.

Final Kombat will be livestreamed globally across all Mortal Kombat 11 channels, including Twitch (NetherRealm), YouTube (Mortal Kombat), Mixer (NetherRealm), Twitter (@MortalKombat), Facebook (@MortalKombat) and Steam (Mortal Kombat 11).

As a special treat, Spawn will be available early exclusively at Walmart on March 8th. McFarlane Toys even shared a list of the stores that will be carrying it here. He’ll be available everywhere else on March 13th.

We’ve run him and all 6 other Mortal Kombat 11 figures including the recently released Raiden and Johnny Cage from McFarlane Toys through a big gallery session after the break.   Read on to check it all out, including some additional thoughts on SPAWN!

Mortal Kombat – Original Johnny Cage Figure Coming From Storm Collectibles

Posted on January 24, 2019 at 1:21 pm by Joe Moore under Video Game Toy News

Storm Collectibles shared a photo on their Instagram Page, showcasing the in-progress clay sculpt based on Master Daniel Pesina. Longtime Mortal Kombat fans will remember his as the face of Johnny Cage from the original Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2! Master Pesina not only did the digitized performance for Johnny Cage, but also was the actor behind Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Smoke, and Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 1 and 2.

According to a post by Master Pesina on his Facebook Page, this sculpt will indeed represent Johnny Cage from the original game. The sculpt is still in the very early stages, and it may be a while before we see the final product. For now, click the banner image to check out the full photo.

New Mortal Kombat Johnny Cage Statue Teaser Pics

Posted on May 24, 2012 at 10:53 am by Joe Moore under Video Game Toy News

A couple months ago, Syco teased their upcoming Mortal Kombat: Johnny Cage 10″ Polystone Statue. Today they have posted a few new teaser images ahead of the full reveal.

Johnny Cage went through some interesting changes during the sculpting process of his statue. The original model featured a much ‘angrier-looking’ Johnny and his hair wasn’t as detailed or as faithful to the character’s known style. We wanted to make sure that we captured his essence by toning down the angry facial expression and giving him that ‘handsome-touch’ that he’s well known for to go along an iconic pose (which all of our followers helped to decide). We know that Johnny likes to smile charismatically, but, when it comes to shattering back bones and spines as he lifts off to perform his trademark Shadow Uppercut, Mr. Hollywood is dead-serious. -Eduardo (Creative Director & Consumer Relations Manager)
