Thundercats Ultimates

The Thundercats are on the loose once again!  Super 7 have finally revealed what we were all hoping for once they picked up MOTUC – the continuation of Mattel and The Four Horsemen’s Thundercats Classics line of  7 inch figures!  Now titled Thundercats Ultimates – to kick things off they will be re-releasing four of the original figures with upgraded accessories.  Included in round 1 is Lion-O, Panthro, Jackalman and Mumm-Ra.  Read on to check out additional details and images for each.  You can pre-order your copies at Super 7 here.  Keep an eye on our sponsors for listings as well.  Each one is listed at $45 USD, and are due to ship in Spring 2020.

Funko dropped a major series of new licenses at Toy Fair 2018! If you’re familiar with their Mortal Kombat 5.5″ Figures, then these will fit right in with those. Among the new items are Thundercats, Horror icons and Conan the Barbarian! The lien is officially known as Savage World. Of interest to horror fans is that the horror characters have been re-imagined as barbaric warriors to fit in with the stylized designs. Seen here are:

Club Third Earth continues this month from Mattycollector with the release of Jackalman. The first baddie in the line up, he would have been a great compliment to Mumm-Ra and Slithe but as of now, due to the line’s cancellation, we’re stuck with mummy Mumm-Ra only. On his own, it’s a solid figure. Range of movement is better than Lion-O, sculpt is fantastic as always. Detailed paint is there, but seems like it could have used a bit more on the fur. He comes with two weapons – a club and his spear-axe, and 2 extra hands. We’ve run him through a quick set, check out our shots after the break! Also of note, November’s figures of Pumyra and subscription exclusive Mumm-Ra – have had orders charged, they should be shipping within a couple weeks.

Here is the Thundercats display from Mattel’s Toy Fair 2016 event. This gave us our very first in person look at Pumyra and the Third Earth Sub Exclusive Mumm-Ra in his decrepit Mummy form. Panthro, unfortunately, was not on display at this time. Included in the gallery are:

MattyCollector sent out a Thundercats Third Earth Subscription reminder. In the email ,they had a photo showing off the previously revealed Thundercats figures. But the image also gave us a new look at the sub exclusive Mumm-Ra figure. The price for the Subscription Service is $25, and the subscription figures will be priced at $25 as well. In case you missed it, Mattel has updated their Thundercats – Third Earth Subscription Service. The price for the Subscription Service itself was lowered back down to $25, and the subscription figures will be priced at $25 as well. All Access figures will be priced at $30 each. This is great news for those looking to sub! If you already purchased a Third Earth Subscription at $30, the difference will be refunded. The Third Earth Subscription Page was also updated with new official images, including our first look at Panthro and Pumyra. The sub included:

under San Diego Comic Con, Thundercats Toy News

Thundercats Lion-O and Jackalman 6″ Classics figures revealed by Mattel at San Diego comic-Con 2015. These will utilize the style of their Masters of the Universe Classics line to keep a consistent look across brands. These are only the first two figures.
