NECA has shared new in and out of packaging photos for their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon Series – Ultimate Foot Soldier 7″ Scale Figure. The figure comes packed in a VHS inspired flapped window box. The Foot soldier includes interchangeable portraits, multiple rifles, a pistol, two swords, throwing stars, a fan, a hat, a spear, and more. In the US, the figure will be exclusive to Target. TMNT Movie Feb 2021 Preorders

NECA has added pre-orders for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 Movie) – Splinter and Shredder 7″ Scale Figure 2-Pack and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 Movie) – Foot Soldier 2-Pack. These sets were released last year exclusively at Walmart stores, and have been tough to find for many collectors. If you still haven’t found them, you can grab pre-orders now from The NECA Store. The sets are priced at $51.99 each. Pre-orders will last until Friday, February 12th. The items are expected to ship out this Summer. Pre-order them at The NECA Store.

Playmates TMNT Mutant Module Retro Box Set 001

Solicitations have been released for two new retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles box sets from Playmates Toys. Included are a Sewer Lair Box Set, and a Villains Mutant Module Retro Box Set with reissues of the classic 5″ Playmates TMNT Figures. The Sewer Lair Box Set is packed in a soft carrying case inspired by the Turtles Lair, and will include Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Shredder, and Splinter. The Villains Box Set is features a soft carrying case inspired by the Mutant Module vehicle, and will include Bebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Slash, Krang with Walker, and a Foot Soldier.

Each of these box sets are Previews Exclusives. They will be available from most online collectible retailers, and comic shops. The TMNT Retro Box Sets are priced at $89.99 for the Lair, and $100 for the Villains. The Sewer Lair Set is due out in May, while the Mutant Module Set is due out in September. NECA has shared a new Visual Guide for their “12 Days of Downloads“. Today’s update features their first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Visual Guide, which brings together their TMNT Movie, TMNT Video Game, and TMNT Mirage Comic figures onto a great looking checklist. Missing is the TMNT Cartoon Series figures, which will likely get their own checklist, as that line has a ton of figures in it now. The image is deigned to resemble a classic TMNT backer card. zz NECA TMNT TOON LINE

Big one today! Running some catch up on the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon line. Normally this is in Joe Moore’s stable of shoots, but he tagged me in and I’ve run a whole chunk of recent releases for the line. I am one of the folks who never found Bebop and Rocksteady in person, even with trying, so after the first wave I kinda timed out. I was able to grab a set online when NECA put them up recently so I’ll be jumping back in down the road. These here today were Joe Moore’s, courtesy of NECA, so I kinda got to experience everything since wave 1 all at once.

I won’t go super hard into reviews as many of these have been out for a while. Overall though, I dig the toon based line NECA has been doing. I don’t need every one that drops personally, as TMNT was always farther down the line for me than Transformers or GI Joe. But I can appreciate what’s going on and glad that long time TMNT fans are getting deeper roster characters.

Read on to check some additional thoughts, and over 170 HD images for Bebop and Rocksteady, April O’Neil and Foot Soldier, Casey Jones and Foot Soldier, Slash and Leatherhead, Traag and Granitor, and Metalhead. I’ve also included some quick shots of Wave 1 earlier figures that I did back in 2019.

TMNT 7 21 2020 NECA

A few more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles updates have been shared by NECA as part of their San Diego Comic-Con 2020 reveals. Check out the images after the jump. Included are the following:

TMNT 1990 Movie Foot Soldier 7″ Scale 2-Pack
We’ve previously seen these in and out of packaging thanks to some Walmart listings. The new update shows the final accessory load out, including the weapons rack. These figures will be available at Walmart in September.

TMNT Video Game Baxter Stockman (Fly) 7″ Scale Figure
This preview images gives us our very first look at their in-progress Baxter Stockman fly figure. The images shows an unpainted prototype. The figure will include a large mutated hand as well. Still in development, and no release details are available.

TMNT 1990 Movie Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi 7 ” Scale Figures
A shadowy teaser showing the rivals from the flashback of the film. There’s no word if this is a teaser for both Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi, or just Saki. But you can see a small caged Splinter in the background as well. No additional details shared.

TMNT NECA Releases

Yesterday, NECA shared an update on a few of their upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie and Cartoon Figures. They are working with the license holders of the TMNT brand to try and make their products more widely available, and easily accessible. US customers will have access to buy the 1990 Movie Leonardo and Donatello 2-Pack, and the Donatello and Raphael 2-Pack directly from TheNecaStore.com starting this morning. International customers will be able to buy the TMNT Cartoon Casey Jones and Foot Soldier 2-Pack, and the Deluxe Metalhead directly from TheNecaStore.com this morning. US customers will have a chance from Target.com this afternoon. See the official details below.
