The Cyborg Ninja is introduced in the PlayStation 1 video game Metal Gear Solid, initially as a boss character. However, as the game progresses, it is revealed that he is Gray Fox, a former ally of Solid Snake originally introduced in the original Metal Gear video game. The Cyborg Ninja disappears after his encounter with Snake, but secretly offers advice under the code name Deepthroat. He re-emerges at the end of Metal Gear Solid, attempting to help Solid Snake in his fight against Metal Gear REX. The character has had a large fan following ever since he was introduced. He featured a slick cybernetic design coupled with is lengthy blade and arm mounted rail gun. the character has seen numerous collectible releases over the years, including statues and action figures.
The newest collectible based on the Cyborg Ninja comes from Gecco. This 1/6 scale release includes a statue base, interchangeable heads, a removable sword, and a swap out right arm. The statue was released in Japan, and should hit U.S. retailers later this month. It’s priced at $299.99. Our friends at Gecco sent a sampel over to check out.
