Here are more Dragon Ball items on display by Tamashii Nations at San Diego comic-Con 2018. The majority of items were on display at the Dragon Ball World Tour Event. There’s also some Harry Potter, anime and Digimon figures in here.
Time to wrap up our look at the S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z / Super exclusives with a round of more artistic shots. We wanted to get those base shots out quick over the weekend so people could see what they could expect and get some comparison with older versions. Now the fun stuff :). Broly, Cell and Vegito will all be available at the Dragonball Tour stops across North America for the rest of the year. The first stop of that tour – San Diego Comic Con! Each will come in event exclusive packaging, with Vegito getting a SDCC package variant just for that one show.
We will add in these shots to round them out, and link them on the SHF DBZ Reference Guide as well.
Oh, and right before these came in, we dropped the recent DBZ Majin Vegeta gallery too!
Read on to check out over 35 more HD shots of these guys in action courtesy of Bluefin Brands and Tamashii Nations!
OK, Round 2 of our first pass looks at the San Diego Comic Con / Dragonball Tour S.H. Figuarts exclusives is here, Perfect Cell! This is a re-color of the existing mold, this time more accurately representing the Manga colors. All mold and accessories are the same as previously released versions. He comes in a bad ass box, just like Broly and Vegetto featuring neon art based on a toy shot.
The key take away here is the sharp paint. The blue pops off the muted greens, and the grey armor pieces and wings have a metallic sheen to it. All in all it feels quality, more so than the previous two releases in fact. I was least excited about this one when it was announced, but now that he is in hand, I am pleasantly surprised. It’s a sharp release.
Read on to check out over 35 HD images showing off his base poses and comparisons with the older releases. We’ll do the same for Vegetto later tonight and then dig into some fun shots for tomorrow. These are courtesy of Bluefin Brands and Tamashii Nations, and will be available at all Dragonball Tour stops throughout the rest of the year. First one being SDCC in under 2 weeks!
Finally, The Rock has come back… wait wrong rock. Today we are taking a look at the Tamashii Nations Effect Rock. These are modular pieces that start as smaller rocks, combine up to half mounds, and then finally into a circular boulder. How you use or display them is up to you. They can be rubble scattered around, a base for a figure, or a huge thing in the background of your photography or display shelves. They use peg connectors to fit together, and when not combined they can take a standard Tamashii Stage stand in the ports. So you can have your figures hovering or dynamically posed, using any one of the pieces as a weight. Overall it’s a great accessory piece that is useful for displays. We’ve taken shots showing some of what it can do with different figures after the break, read on to check em out!
They are out now in Japan and at US retailers including some of our sponsors below!
