Two new statues based on AMC’s Preacher TV Series have been revealed by Mondo. They are producing new statues based on Jesse Custer, as well as Cassidy. Each statue will be available in a standard edition and a Mondo exclusive edition. Mondo is also offering the exclusives in a special 2-pack. The exclusive editions include 18″ x 24″ art prints.

About Preacher
Fulfilling a promise to his deceased father, one-time outlaw Jesse Custer returns home to West Texas to take over his dad’s church. Jesse’s mission, however, becomes twisted when his body is overcome by a cryptic force that unleashes within him a highly unconventional power. Together with hell-raising ex-girlfriend Tulip and Irish vampire Cassidy, the preacher-in-training embarks on a journey to find God in a world inhabited by holy, hellish, and everything-in-between characters. The darkly comedic “Preacher” is based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular 1990s comic book franchise of the same name.

Preacher is an AMC TV Series based on a stylish and over-the-top comic series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. The first season takes place prior to the events of the comic, and introduces us to the main cast of complex characters and the bizarre West Texas town of Annville, which they call home. Two of those characters are the Preacher with a checkered past and the power to make those do what he says, Jesse Custer and Cassidy, an Irish Vampire with a love of alcohol and the ladies. These two quickly become “best mates” and stir up heaps of trouble. They’re joined by Tulip and begin a road trip to find God, who’s gone missing from Heaven. If all that sounds completely insane, it’s because it is.

NECA is producing figures based on the show, and kicks off their first series with 7″ figures based on Jesse Custer and Cassidy. Each figure is fully articulated and include interchangeable hands and show themed accessories. Final packaged photos have been released for the upcoming Preacher Series 1 Figures coming from NECA. The first series, based on the AMC TV Show, includes both Cassidy and Preacher Jesse Custer. These will begin shipping to retailers next week.

The series follows a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power: the ability to make people do his bidding with just a word. The assortment includes Jesse and Cassidy (a hedonistic Irish vampire who becomes Jesse’s best friend), both with authorized likenesses of their actors.

Each fully poseable figure stands approximately 6 3/4” tall and comes with character-specific accessories.

Nuremberg Toy Fair 2017 is currently taking place in Germany. the event, which isn’t quite as big as New York Toy Fair, does offer a few sneak peeks at upcoming items fro ma few companies. Keep in mind, nealy everything currently being shown are items that most companies have announced. A few companies, such as NECA and McFarlane have a few newer items on display. The first Preacher TV Series 7″ Scale Figure has been previewed by NECA. The photo gives fans a look at Cassidy figure. A full reveal of Series 1 is scheduled to go live later this morning, around 11 AM EST according to NECA. Be sure to check back, as we’ll update as the images and details are released.
