MAFEX Black Manta Figure 004

Late last year, Medicom had revealed their MAFEX Aquaman Figure from the Aquaman film. That figure showcased Aquaman in his comic accurate costume, as he appeared at the end of the film. Details have finally been revealed for one of Aquaman’s greatest foes; Black Manta. Thanks to Tag Hobby, we can share the official product photos and info. The MAFEX Black Manta Figure will stand at 6.3″ tall. It includes multiple interchangeable hands, jet pack blast effects, a sword, a knife, a removable gauntlet blade, and a spear attachment for the other gauntlet.

The Black Manta will be priced at 7,800 Yen. Look for the figure to be released in June 2020. You can see photos after the jump.

Pre-orders have been opened for the new Prime 1 Studio Aquaman Movie – Black Manta 1/3 Scale Statue. It’s priced at $1,199 and is set for release between February and April of 2020. It has light up features and swap out part. Check out the pre-order link below and the photos after the jump.

Every treasure has its price and this Museum Masterline statue of Black Manta will be a worthwhile investment for all Black Manta fans. Due to a high level of intricate detail, the Black Manta looks like he has just stepped right out of Aquaman movie. Time for a bit of catch up and a bit of preview at the same time! Today we are posting up a mega gallery for the latest DC Collectibles DC Essentials figures. The second wave of regular figures featured Superman, Brainiac, Aquaman and Black Manta. This continues the VS. theme of the releases, joining Batman, Deathstroke, Flash and Reverse Flash from wave 1. On top of the DC Essentials line proper, there are also Watchemen Doomsday Clock figures releasing in actual two packs. They aren’t labeled Essentials, but are essentially Essentials (rim shot, eyyy). These include 4 classic characters and two new ones as seen in the ongoing comic series that brings the Watchmen into the DC Universe canon. Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias, Rorschach and Mime, and Comedian and Marionette. In a perfect world, Mime and Marionette would have been paired up, but they split them among two classic guys to help movie units (I’m guessing). They are a couple in the books and themed similarly. The Comedian / Marionette pack is actually new and hasn’t fully released yet, so today’s set is a preview of that one.

Hot off the presses, just got done shooting and we are dropping a gallery for the entire first wave of Mattel’s DC Multiverse Aquaman Movie wave 1!  The wave consists of 4 figures, with all four giving you the Collect and Connect figure (yes 4, not 6 or 8).  They kicked things off with the heavy hitters, Aquaman, Mera, Black Manta and Orm (aka Ocean Master).   These are the collector level figs, so we get full range of articulation with cuts, twists and rockers where needed.  For the price range of around 20 bucks per fig it’s well above average.  Paint is also above par on all 4, with specific detailing, metallic sheen and weathering.  The stars of the wave are Aquaman and Black Manta though, they really do shine.  Sculpt on both are fantastic, they can hold their own with DC Collectibles and dare I even say the Japanese imports, especially when you factor in price.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this wave, and had a fun round of shooting with them.  Now I gotta go get a mop and clean up. Read on to check out over 95 HD images of them all courtesy of Mattel!

It looks like the new DC Multiverse – Aquaman Movie 6″ Scale Figures are now hitting stores. The first wave of figures include Aquaman, Mera, Black Manta, and Orm (Ocean Master). These figures include Collect ‘N Connect parts to build The Trench Creature. Our good friend  sent along a few images from his local Walmart in Lexington, Kentucky. The official street date, I believe, is October 1st, so your mileage may vary.

There have also been some recent pre-orders popping up on Amazon this month for a few more Aquman 6″ scale figures. Those include Aquaman & Warrior Shark Figure Creature Pack, Vulko & Hammerhead Shark 2-Pack, Aquaman, Orm, Brine King Action Figure, 3-Pack, and an Amazon Exclusive Vulko.
