After a long delay while awaiting approval from the studio, the second series of Rocky 40th Anniversary Figures are now available from NECA. This assortment contains four figures from Rocky IV. They include Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed and two version of Ivan Drago. With the release containing perfect fight match ups for Apollo vs Drago, and Rocky vs Drago, I’m doing two photo shoots around those fights. In our first gallery for the assortment, we’re taking on Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago (yellow trunks).

Shipping out to retailers soon is the long delayed Rocky 40th Anniversary Series 2 Figures. The assortment, which includes figures based on Rocky IV, should begin to hit retailers within the next month. Series 2 focuses on Rocky IV, in which Rocky must avenge the death of his friend at the hands of Ivan Drago, the Russian gold medalist. It debuts a brand-new Apollo Creed figure in full stars-and-stripes boxing regalia, complete with alternate head sculpt, removable coat and top hat. The assortment also includes two versions of Ivan Drago in both yellow and red trunks with unique head sculpts, and an American Flag trunks version of Rocky with 2 head sculpts and an American flag that can be draped over his shoulders. Realistic sculpts feature the likenesses of actors Sylvester Stallone, Carl Weathers and Dolph Lundgren. These 7″ scale figures are fully articulated and ready to take their one-in-a-million shot at the dream.

Rocky Series 1 is shipping now to most major NECA retailers, and should be available soon, if not already. Series 2 is scheduled to ship out this October. You can see a few images by reading on.
Here’s our fist look at the upcoming Rocky IV Apollo Creed 7″ Scale Figure coming from NECA. The figure is based on Apollo‘s look as he enters the ring for his fatal fight with Ivan Drago. It includes a removable star spangled jacket and top hat. The Apollo Creed figure will also include swappable smiling and a serious portraits. This will be part of Rocky Series 2, which is scheduled for a release this Fall. Rocky Series 1 is shipping to retailers now, and is currently available on the NECA Ebay Store.

KasualFRIDAY’s Superstars line has been out for a bit and they’re continuing to drop fun little figures from the past. Their current properties include Rocky, Robocop, The Phantom, and Evil Dead. Recently announced Flash Gordon and Chuck Norris figures will be coming soon as well. We’ve done up a gallery featuring most of wave 1 and 2, plus a couple from recently released wave 2.5. KasualFRIDAY has sent along some official images and info for their Superstars Wave 2 and Wave 2.5 figures. These are 3.25″ static posed figures. Wave 2 is now available online and in comic/specialty stores. Wave 2.5 is scheduled to hit stores in the first week of December. Here’s the breakdown:
