NECA Fan Event 2019 – HD Pics!

Yesterday was the NECA fan event at Yestercades in Westfield NJ, close to their corporate HQ. They invited fans out to chat, see some new stuff up close and personal and of course play some games! Joe Moore and I attended the event – we shared some things out on social yesterday and rounded up some info nuggets / posted a video of the Q n A session last night (which you can see here). NECA Alien Club Exclusive – Kenner Tribute Purple Alien Warrior – Toyark Exclusive First Look

Back in 2017, The NECA Store launched the Alien Club. Fans of NECA’s Aliens line could sign up and get that years Aliens figures directly from NECA. The draw was that you would get the figures directly from the NECA warehouse, essentially around the same time they would hit the NECA eBay and Amazon stores. Members received a 2-part Kenner Aliens diorama, and there was an exclusive figure. Fans who kept their membership up throughout 2017 had the opportunity to pre-order the Kenner Tribute Purple Alien Warrior. The figures colors are based on the Alien artwork that appeared in Kenner’s card art for the toy line.

The figure has been delayed all through 2018. But I am happy to share some great news with fans who have been waiting for an update. By this Monday, June 10th, the Purple Alien Warrior will begin shipping to customers! Fans in the U.S. will receive theirs directly from NECA. Fans in the U.K. and Europe who ordered the figure will have a slight delay, as the figure is shipping to their local distributors who will mail them out to fulfill orders.

To commemorate the long awaited release, I have a special first look gallery and review! Our friends at NECA have supplied us with the figure that’s shipping next week, I run it through a new photo gallery. After the jump, check out my photo shoot and thoughts on the new figure. and keep an eye on your mailboxes, as the figure should be in hands very soon!

NECA San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Exclusive Superman vs Aliens 2-Pack

The long awaited DC Comics vs Dark Horse 2-Packs will finally see release from NECA Toys! The sets will officially be convention exclusives. NECA has unveiled the first set, which features Superman versus an Alien Warrior. The set comes in a flapped window box. Superman will include two interchangeable head sculpt, a heat vision accessory, and two sets of interchangeable hands. The set is priced at $60. Check out the photos after the jump.

In the 1995 Superman/Aliens comic book mini-series co-published by DC Comics and Dark Horse, Superman faces the ferocious Xenomorphs on a search-and-rescue mission to a planet without a yellow sun, the source of his immense power.
The set includes two brand new, comic book based figures, both with over 30 points of articulation. Superman stands approximately 7” tall, features a fabric cape and comes with attachable eye blast effect. The Alien stands approximately 9” tall and has a bendable tail.
This action figure 2-pack is inspired by classic comic book mash-ups! This set is based on a DC/Dark Horse mini-series and comes in window box packaging with embossed opening flap.

Aliens 3D Wall Art Sculpture by Prime 1 Studio

Prime 1 Studio has opened up pre-orders for a new Aliens 3D Wall Art Sculpture. It’s based interior of the Xenomorph hive from Aliens, as the creatures hid in plain sight as part of the walls. The artwork stands at 20″ tall and is mountable on a wall. It’s priced at $699 with a release set for some time between April and June of 2020. Supersize Alien Warrior and ReAction Bloody Alfred Hitchcock from Super 7

This 18″ tall, retro style figure features a bronze paint scheme, classic window style packaging, and a snapping jaw. The other is a Blood Splattered Alfred Hitchcock ReAction Figure Variant. Ultimate Figure Visual Guide – NECA 5 Days of Downloads

NECA has kicked off their 5 Days of Downloads for the 2018 holiday season. Their first offering is an update Visual Guide for their Ultimate 7″ Scale Figures. As usual, NECA had a sneak peek first look in the guide with the first shot of the Predator 2 – Ultimate Elder: The Golden Angel Figure. There are a few notable omissions though, including the Uncharted 4 – Nathan Drake Ultimate Figure, and the God of War 3 – Ultimate Kratos Figure.
