We’re back with another installment of Toyark’s Off The Shelf, our semi-regular round up of random fun and nerdy items from around the web. In today’s post, you’ll find a company making a functional and wearable Iron Man suit, new official photos of the Transformers Movie Masterpiece Ironhide, a Ghostbusters Proton Pack Replica, a deep fried Gundam (you read that right), an assortment of random Street Fighter licensed products for it’s anniversary and more. Longtime Toyark readers may remember a semi-regular column I used to post called Off The Shelf. What exactly is Off The Shelf? This was where I’d gather up random toy, geeky and pop culture news, cool items for sale, photos, and more that we normally don’t cover. In those articles you’d find stuff such as cool shirts, awesome nerdy cakes, cosplay, fun videos, trailers, some statues, toys and a whole lot more. After a hiatus of over four years, I’m bringing it back for another go in 2018! Expect to see more of the same, as well as many great new additions, such as cool fan photos.

Let’s kick this off right with the first Off The Shelf update since 2013! Here are some of the goodies I’ve gathered from around the web. This includes a cool statue from Iron Studios, the newest Black Panther trailer, some fun new shirts, a 1/6 scale figure that’s for adults only, a heavy metal band who has a fun tribute the the Strongest Man in the Universe, news on the US debut of the animated Godzilla movie and much more.

Today’s Toyark: Off The Shelf is dedicated to the great Lou Scheimer. The name may not be familiar, but, if you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, you surely knew the man’s work. Mr. Scheimer was the founder of a little company you may have heard of called Filmation. That name should instantly be familiar to most of you, as they brought us classic cartoon series like He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Fat Albert, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Bravestarr, and many, many more.

Sadly, Lou Scheimer passed away last Thursday at the age of 85. So we’re goign to take a look back at some intros to celebrate the brilliant and groundbreaking work from Filmation‘s vast history.
