“Calling Dick Tracy, calling Dick Tracy. Be on the lookout for Flattop Jones!”
When black marketeers hire a contract killer to eliminate the one lawman who has threatened to end their crime spree, the stage is set for a colossal clash of cops and robbers. Will Ace Killer Flattop Jones Sr. fulfill his side of the bargain, or will Detective Dick Tracy get his man?
The One:12 Collective Dick Tracy wears his comic inspired, trademark 3-piece suit, trench coat, and fedora. Tracy is ready to solve any case, equipped with the tools of his trade including a service revolver, handcuffs, flashlight, two-way radio wristwatch, and more. The legendary crime stopper comes complete with three interchangeable head portraits with varying expressions.
The One:12 Collective Flattop wears an outfit inspired by his appearance in the comic strip – a tailored suit, overcoat with faux-fur collar, and dress shoes. Flattop is equipped with more than enough firepower to get the job done including a tommy gun that breaks down and can be stored in an oversized violin case. The rogues gallery hitman comes complete with four head portraits with varying expressions.

Mezco One:12 Dick Tracy vs Flattop Boxed Set
This just makes me wish NECA or some other company could do a screen accurate line based on the 1990 movie. But Warren Beatty allegedly holds such a tight grip on the movie rights and has no interest in merchandising anything for it. Supposedly he even refused to do a big special edition DVD set when the 20th anniversary came up in 2010 despite fan interest. There's lots of deleted scenes I'd love to finally see from that film. And the 30th anniversary passed 2 years ago and still all we have is a barebonee bluray release. The film is highly underrated and visually looks amazing in HD. I just wish after 3 decades of gaining a cult following, it could get more love from the studio and/or Beatty.
So cool. I love this style of sculpting. Looks like Tracy can stand by Popeye and golden age Batman on the shelf. Man, I have a feeling they’ll eventually do a One:12 Fleischer Superman. I only mentioned this because Tracy’s face looks very similar Fleischer’s Superman.
It's the same thing with the Jaws figures coming out.. no Roy Scheider because his estate backed out.

But that's also why we can't get Jack Nicholson Joker figures because he wants way too much money for his likeness rights according to everyone who has ever attempted to do it (NECA, etc.) and so far Hot Toys has been the only one willing to pay since they could more easily recoup those costs on $200-300 1/6 scale Joker figures versus NECA/Mezco/etc. trying to sell $25-$40 6" figures.
That's a solid Dick.
I saw these Mezco "Tracy" Sets...
Do "like", this fig look...
They have my attention ;^)
