Two new stylized Voltron figures have been fully revealed by Action Toys. They have posted photos and details for their Lion Voltron and Vehicle Voltron figures. These are part of their ES Alloy Series, and will contain a mix of diecast and plastic parts. Each figure is squished down into cute super-deformed style designs, but are fully articulated with character specific parts and accessories.
The Lion Voltron stands just over 6″ tall. The figure is transformable, and can be separated into each individual lion. It includes a Blazing Sword, a Spinning Laser Blade, and individual blades for each of the lions. It’s priced at HK$1160 (about $148 USD), and is due for release in the Fourth Quarter of the year.
The Voltron Vehicle Force (aka Armored Fleet DaiRugger XV) stands over 6.5″ tall. Like the Lion Voltron, this is a fully transformable figure. It splits into 15 individual vehicles, which can then be combined into Land, Sea, and Air forms. It contains a mix of diecast and plastic parts, and is fully articulated. The figure includes multiple interchangeable hands, multiple swap out helicopter blased, a sword, a whip, and two spears. It’s priced at HK$1160 (about $148 USD), and is due for release in the Fourth Quarter of the year.
You can see the new photos after the jump.
UPDATE:
Solicitations have gone out to retailers, and pre-orders are now live. The price outside of Hong Kong is a bit of a jump. The US retail price is $229.99 each. You can pre-order from the links below.

Voltron - Lion Voltron and Vehicle Voltron Figures by Action Toys

Super-deformed never gets old.
When do these go up for pre-order?
I never realized just how different Lion Voltron appears with the lion legs showing vs. the lion legs hidden. SO tempted to get it.
Wow, that's quite a markup on bbts
These look like a step up from the Altimeter DX Voltron that came out a couple years ago. The price is high (gonna' avoid BBTS), but I'm pleased to see both Voltrons being offered simultaneously.
No matter the maker or the version, the Black Lion will always be the fat one in the group.
I hear you though--occasionally the US retailers have really high mark-ups compared to us importing ourselves from Japan.
Where else are these on sale?
Given the pricing on those store links that were added, I'm thinking that these guys are just a tad more expensive than the article made them out to be.
So Cute....
Got me thinking ;^)
