New Masters of the Universe Origins and Masterverse Pre-Orders for June 2022

Ah, ace, I want the She-Ra, Hordak, Catra and Zodac Masterverse figures. Kinda confused about the categories though. I figured the first three were She-Ra, not New Eternia. Zodac is New Eternia for sure. As for the weird CGI stuff, nah not my thing at all. Fine for the fans who want some actual good figures of those designs but they don't blend in with the rest of Masterverse at all in my opinion.
What is "Skeletor Reborn (Netflix)" under Masterverse? I clicked on the BBTS link and that listing doesn't say Masterverse and it's also way too low in cost to be a Masterverse figure. The listing says "He-Man and The Masters of the Universe Skeletor Reborn Deluxe Figure" definitely too cheap to be a Deluxe Masterverse. So I assume it's a figure in the CGI show's own toyline?
They moved the release date for many of these (particularly the Masterverse figures) from June 2022 to Q3 2022 this morning.
I'm guessing the June date was a mistake.
I don't understand the $30+ price tag on some of those(at BBTS).
My supervillain origin story is Mattel not making God-Lyn.
I wish they'd make some She-Ra figures based on the Netflix reboot too.
If they make God-Lyn before they make Classic Evil-Lyn, I will be a bit annoyed.
I'm not sure what all to hope for from this line. I'm glad to get a real She-Ra (the MOTUC versions are hit and miss and the Super7 version was a major letdown), but I'm not sure these figures, over all, are even close to as well made or cool as my Classics collection.
PO'd the New Eternia and PoP Masterverse figures. I will likely get another Zodac and Hordak if seen in the wild for display purposes. I feel like with the New Eternia line I will just be double dipping on everything.
Scored a cheap Viking He-Man and Barb Skeletor off Amazon, just waiting for BBTS to get the whole of Wave 4 in.
Anyone else hoping they do some figs based on the 2002 series? Some of those character designs were pretty cool. Also, can someone please fill me in on what exactly the ‘new Eternia’ figures are based on?
I have no idea how Filmation She-Ra and Toy Hordak in Filmation colors fit into that concept.

The listing is wrong.

Hordak and She-Ra are NOT New Eternia, but are Princess of Power figures as confirmed by the logo on their boxes.
Btw the Skeletor Reborn figure is def NOT a Masterverse figure. I had the picture of it but I lost it but aye, in case any masterverse collectors still wondered what it was, it's just from the CGI toon toyline and not like the CGI toon's two Masterverse figures.
I think they're definitely better made and more bang for your buck than MotUC was. Plus way more available and cheaper to customise figures to your own versions if you like. And pretty sturdy too since they're aimed at all ages in stores whereas classics were aimed at adult collectors with that whole subscription bollocks and such. I know my best mate is still gutted that Super 7's ThunderCats have been made using the MotUC buck style as he finds it far too limited and aesthetically displeasing in certain areas lol. Also his Lion-O has multiple QC issues and he hasn't had much luck getting that sorted with Super 7 whereas Mattel quite happily refunded him the full amount for a Masterverse Savage He-Man and Orko set just because there was a small tear in one of Orko's shoulders. So basically he got that whole set for free. Ace!
Thanks guys. Aye, we're still hoping she'll fully recover someday but we're also by now kinda used to the fact that is just how things may be from now on. We're on the look out for an affordable bungalow (I don't know if that's a word familiar to US folk but basically a house with just the one floor, no stairs) in a suitable location. She's awesome and upbeat but aye there are those times you can see she clearly misses how active she used to be. She loved to go running or lift some weights or whatever. It was her outlet for when she felt down or stressed so to have that not really viable these days, she's been struggling to find something else to replace it. She still does some of those physical activities of course but they're in very short lil bursts. But aye thanks again.
And aye let's see some more MotU.
And aye let's see some more MotU.
But Classics figures (the Mattel versions, not necessarily the later run by Super7) are definitely better made. Some of it is that they have less articulation so less potential spots for QA issues. The Masterverse Classic Teela is a mess (that weird joint in the upper thigh doesn't connect quite right, I think because of how they pose her in the package). The joints on my NE Skeletor and Teela aren't the tightest compared to my Classics versions (and the latter are really old at this point).
Masterverse figures are cool. I'm in for figures like She-Ra, Hordak, and Catra. I want a Classic-looking Evil-Lyn. I will probably buy the big Beast Man. But Classics figures are better over all, despite having slightly less articulation.
Not saying Masterverse is perfect. Far from it. And I've bought a couple of custom heads for ones I didn't like the heads of (mainly the oddly smiley He-Man and dirty Skeletor lol) But we're having a whole lot more fun with it than trying to chase down expensive MotUC figures that we don't particularly like the style of anyway lol. And it's so far the only toyline my kid and I have both enjoyed and long may it continue. Well at least as far as the point where he reaches the teenage years where he feels he has to be all cool and such and toys are just for kids and then I'll be stuck collecting them on my own for a long time lol I got him another He-Man in clearance the other day so he can have a go at customising it cos he's getting a bit into that lately too.
But anyone who has a MOTUC Mer-Man in one hand and a Masterverse Revelations Mer-Man in the other and says "this Masterverse figure is of better quality" is a little odd in my opinion. Classics figures (on the whole; Green Goddess, Roboto, and a few others excepted) seem like they are of a higher quality plastic and are better made. I consider Masterverse figures to be like Hasbro Fornite figures compared to G.I. Joe Classified. You can just tell when there is more QA and better plastic being used.
I'm happy to have Masterverse going and I look forward to more NE and 80s-style designs (and less, small headed Revelations-type looks). But I won't be selling my Classics collection any time soon.
Jeez, can you tell I'm missing my kid a bit? It's half term so he's off at his nan's. lol
Anyways enjoy your MotU in whatever form it may be!
Masterverse is just killing it with the next several waves. I just hope that they can get to shelves since walmarts seem to never stock them around here and targets are now aglut with u wanted andras instead of heman and skeletor.
