After a bit of a hiccup, Formo Toys is ready to share their upcoming Masters of the Universe style toy line. Originally titled Lords of Power, and meant to create figures based on Mark Taylor’s original MOTU designs, the series has been rebranded. Now known as Legends of Dragonore, the upcoming figures are now inspired by the aesthetic of Masters of the Universe without using designs that could potentially cause IP infringement issues. Here’s a bit of info on the line:
This is a new and exciting line of 5.5” action figures designed to look like those found in the toy isles and toy chests of the 1980s. When action figures were simpler… yet full of creativity and fun!
The figures have been conceived and designed by Emiliano Santalucia and modeled by Peer Brauner.
Each action figure stands 5.5”, has six points of articulation and it is made of ABS and PVC plastic. The figures feature multiple pop-apart joints that allow for simple mix-and-match customizing, and with the expansion of the line, will expand to a world of new possibilities, characters, and creatures. Each figure has up to ten modular joints. The joints are fully compatible with similar vintage modular figures. Most figures come with removable armor and one or more accessories.
The first wave is entitled The Beginning and will include six figures. Each of the first 6 figures in the line also comes with one or more pieces of our first Divine Armor of Power™ figure. By collecting the entire wave, customers will be able to put together this special figure not available separately. The Divine Armor of Power™ figure is completely compatible with the other figures’ joints.
Figures come packaged in retro full-color blister cards.
We’re still waiting on pre-order details. For now, you can check out the first photo of the figures together by clicking the banner image above.
Formo Toys Reveals Legends of Dragonore Wave 1

I can see a lot of fellow MOTU fans jumping all over these, but personally, they do nothing for me except for maybe the barbarian figure.
"the upcoming figures are now inspired by the aesthetic of Masters of the Universe without using designs that could potentially cause IP infringement issues."
So it's an official knock-off.
Barbaro and the divine I like. The rest…..
I really loved the original figures planned. Stinks those can’t be used. I’m probably out at this point.
The only one I like is the build a figure.
MOTU is being Challenged!!!!...
LOD are moving in!!!!...
LOD has declared WAR on MOTU!!!
Here comes the "drive by"!!! ;^)
That Barbaro looks alot like Conan ,its catching my interest. I keep missing all the cool conan figures put out so some of these LOD figures may find a home on my origins shelf. These look like good customs .It needs a cartoon or something so I can vibe with these characters stories .
These look like the flea market knock offs I used to see in the 80’s when He-Man was the popular toy line. I had a few as a kid. Made out of shampoo bottle plastic.
These look ok but I don’t understand why. People are buying heman toys for the nostalgia. These have no nostalgia factor, they are just expensive knock offs. Seems pointless.

I like the way they look. I`ll be Picking them up for the right price.

Pre-Orders Live for the Legends of Dragonore Wave 1 by Formo Toys - The Toyark - News
They are more expensive than I was expecting. I had considered getting these to add as a sub-line with my MOTU Origins figures, but based on the price I think I'll pass.
Funny, they are less expensive than I assumed. I was thinking $50 a piece.
This all in set with the backdrop is a good price…..maybe I’m back on.
The Pantera is the only one that looks interesting for me, but she reminds me of the Mythic Legions figure....that was inspired by MOTU figs.
I find it funny that they are advertised as limb popping interchangeable figures. Maybe if Funko did the same thing with their Savage World stuff it would have made them more appealing. haha
