Last year, Target released 4 Batman Beyond themed figures over the course of the year which eventually built out Batman Future’s End. There were also variants released not specific to Target.  Now, the original BAF figures are being released in a single box set, also exclusive to Target.  Previously these types of box sets were available at McFarlaneToysSstore.com, but looks like Target picked it up.  You can pre-order now for $79.99 at the link below!

I think Elainna Grayson (Batwoman Beyond) looks great! She should come with a flying stand, though, if they're going to include jet flames.

This Blight also looks better than the BAF version.

Kinda surprised an Unmasked Terry McGinnis hasn't been rumored since they already did Unmasked Shriek and Elainna Grayson.

Weak. I thought this was going to be about new figures like a REAL Inque or Spellbinder.

It does look great, and while I could bag on it with the usual complaints about the unmasked heads, I would rather draw attention to the fact that the "side eye" look nearly ruins this headsculpt.

Unless Toddy Mac is gonna start releasing multiple faceplate per figure, or begin to incorporate moving eyes for some reason...the "side eye" look needs to go away permanently. It's so unappealing and specific, especially considering that this headsculpt is largely neutral in nature.

Inque as Batman Beyond (previously available only at Target) - Why did they not include an Inque head or other accessories this time?

Batwoman and Blight were also Target exclusives before but got something new for this release... seriously weird?!

Not weird, the previous releases were part of a BAF wave.

Check out the Master List I created: https://www.toyark.com/master-list-m...es-etc-187280/

Masked Shriek was part of the same Target-exclusive BAF wave before Unmasked Shriek went retail wide.

Masked Thomas Wayne Batman was a Target exclusive, and then everyone else got Unmasked Thomas Wayne.

Everyone got Death Metal Batman as part of a BAF wave, and Target also got the same figure with purple cape lining without the BAF piece as an exclusive.

Everyone got Last Knight on Earth Wonder Woman as part of a BAF wave, and Target got a Fate helmet Wonder Woman without the BAF piece as an exclusive.

Well we saw the same thing with Batman and Shriek. Target get an exclusive with the BAF parts. Then the wide release was a different head without the BAF parts.

Are these releases a surprise? No
Is it still consumer unfriendly? Yes

Yes, I'm not saying it's Weird that McFarlane is re-putting the figures back out, outside the Target exclusive BAF wave. What I was saying is strange is that usually means they do something different to the figure! a new head, new paint, something! And Inque got nothing new in this second, non-exclusive re-release. That Seems strange to me! It would have been great to have gotten an Inque head!

It's not a re-release, Target just got an exclusive window before everyone else.

That's my point Exactly! Why didn't Inque get a new head or accessories or something different in this second, wide release, like all the other figures do?

Because Inque is a complete phone-in, sadly.

Unlike the others, I assume Inque BB was always meant for a wide release but circumstances made it exclusive to Target for a minute. It was never meant to be a new figure outside paint apps.

Making this version was always a stretch. It's super duper loosely based on what happened. Clearly what's really desired is a proper Inque. What get's me is why Inque Batman doesn't use the blank mouth.

If that head could fit on the old First Appearance Cassie Cain Batgirl figure, that'd make for an awesome unmasked Cassie head.

Blank Mouth was the Target exclusive, right? Maybe that's why?

It would help if you people actually read comics, not just buy toys based on comics.

Screw that. We can buy figures for whatever reason we like, and our enjoyment of those figures should not be tied to collecting something else in which we may have absolutely zero interest.

Also, while Todd's weird fascination with the side glance is growing increasingly annoying in general, here it's particularly egregious in the case of Elainna when she's flying. Let's hope she either really loves to fly in circles or never has to fly in a straight line.

While I agree with the general sentiment, I think it's lame for people (not you) to complain about design issues, especially when they imply that something's not "accurate".

In this case, Inque had a mouth in the comics when impersonating Batman, so why would McF use the covered mouth of the BAF Batman Beyond? Makes no sense.

To be fair, I totally forget Batman Beyond comics exist. I tuned them out when Tim replaced Terry for some odd reason in the New 52.

To me Batman Beyond is always first and foremost the cartoon. Which I think is what has led to disappointment for many.

But even beyond that, let's face it - Inque as Batman Beyond is a cheap, lazy way for McFarlane to do (an actually comic accurate) repaint.

99.9% of people probably wanted Inque as Inque herself.

And I'd KILL for a cartoon Blight in that suit!

Most of these figures have unique body sculpts, which raises the unit price of each one made. Given how badly The Drowned Bryce Wayne has sold even when less than $10, you can imagine how much of a financial beating some of these figures took. McF will have to start re-using pieces with increasing regularity to maintain the $20 price point. We've already seen that with Three Jokers Batgirl and Red Hood using the previous figures' legs, Lex Luthor's suits sharing most parts, and the obvious Masked/Unmasked versions. Blight's body could easily be re-painted as Mr. Freeze.

If someone at McF is reading Internet message boards, they're gonna see people asking about Unmasked Terry McGinnis. Wanna bet that's when they make an Unmasked Inque as Batman Beyond?

Thankfully they fixed that right before Rebirth started and it's been Terry in the suit ever since.

I'm amazed we didn't get unmasked Terry as a variation yet.

Reusing parts is cool, and I have no problem with a repaint ala Reverse Flash. Hell, put Luthor's head on Platinum All For One, please!
