Factory Entertainment have revealed a new high end product related to Thundercats – a 1:1 Prop Replica of the Sword of Omens. The piece is stainless steel with mirror chrome finish and features all the design elements you’d expect in Lion-O’s blade. Retail is around $600 USD with shipping estimated in Fall 2022. Concord, CA – Factory Entertainment, Inc. has announced the latest addition to its line of officially licensed high-end collectibles–a limited edition Sword Of Omens prop replica from the highly popular 1980’s cartoon series, ThunderCats.
The Factory Entertainment team have done it again! After spending countless hours studying the vintage toy line, episodes of the classic animation series and archival information, they’ve successfully produced a full-size, real-world interpretation of a replica based on the fantasy prop from ThunderCats – The Sword of Omens.
“While we’ve produced dozens of high-end, screen-accurate replicas of props from properties including James Bond, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Star Trek, animated and toy properties represent a unique challenge” said Jordan Schwartz, President and CEO of Factory Entertainment. “It requires a fair degree of artistic interpretation and interpolation, working hand in hand with the licensor, to take 2D drawings or toy sculpts, both of which were intended for a less detailed execution, and realize them as fully developed and full-sized real-world items.”
“We’ve been privileged to work with Mattel over the last year to create several stunning replicas from the iconic Masters of the Universe toy line, which will ship to our customers this Spring and Summer. Taking what we learned from that experience and applying it to ThunderCats, we feel we’ve again knocked it out of the park and created a replica of the Sword of Omens that will absolutely delight die- hard ThunderCats fans.
Factory Entertainment’s replica sword is set in an “open” design and features a full-tang stainless steel blade with a mirror-chrome finish, a cast metal hilt with acrylic inserts and enamel detailing. A red imitation gemstone is inset into the pommel.

There was always something disturbingly phallic about that sword. Lion-O would hold it over his head whenever he got excited, and as his voice got louder and louder it would grow longer and longer and more powerful...
Well to be fair it was usually when he thought he was gonna get the snot kicked out of him and needed assistance from his mates. But aye there was a whole thing about him being a young kid forced to grow up suddenly into an adult body and having to accept responsibility of being the leader and such. I don't think getting excited and having something phallic increase in length is the usual reaction to the threat of a butt kicking and I don't think you'd then want your mates come help out either. Or maybe he's in that, I don't know lol
I'm still amazed they got away having them all naked in the first episode. Even the kids. But aye if I was like 12 and woke up to the sight of Cheetara's boobs I'd grow up pretty damn quick too lol
Oh and aye that prop sword looks aces but again one for the richer collector. lol. Can someone just make a cheap one that looks like the same size and design but out of plastic or something for us poor folk? lol

Despite the price, I was tempted by this but I can't get past that sea green color used for the guard inlay. I know they're pulling inspiration from multiple sources but it just cheapens the look for me
