I think this looks even better than Neca and Mafex Homelanders.
3 headsculpts? I counted 4:
bloodied
side looking grin
forward looking smile with teeth
serious (which works with the 2 eye beams)
That bloody face and shit eating grin face make it for me. So expressive.
But NECA and Mafex seems like they may be doing the complete line, and Max Factory unless it's anime tend to One and Done these kinds of licenses.
Might be too short to work as a one-off with other lines too
I think this is the worst one I've seen. The plastic is so super shiny, I don't get how Figma stuff is even more expensive than Mafex.
Figuarts used to be my go to, 6 or more years ago. Their prices have increased but their figures haven't really gotten better or come with more accessories, in some regards their stuffs gotten worse. This figure doesn't look terrible, I like the soft goods, texture for the suit and the face options. But for $109? I think Mafex is a better option, as is Neca and at less than half the cost. Not sure who would buy this, if somehow they make the rest of the characters it'd cost a fortune to collect this line.
Looks kinda cartoon like compared to the others. The NECA one looks weird in proportions to me but is the cheapest option. I think the Mafex looks best all around but isn't cheap. The bloody face here is neat though lol
I think the head sculpts are pretty spot on here. Also I didn't want to pass up the chance to have a bloody Homelander tussle with other figures in my collection, so preordered on amiami (still available for preorder at a discount at the time of this comment).
This is pretty nice and out of the options I would probably go with this one based on the better facesculpt. Frustrating, this has the better facesculpts but FIGMA run a bit smaller than other imports and sometimes joints/QC. MAFEX off facesculpts but ton of accessories and also risk of QC. NECA well cheaper and the usual NECA issues.
All options aren't great or perfect and it sadly just comes down to price, scale, and how confident one is that the company will run the whole line. But when it comes to being forced to choose from the lesser of two or three evils, I tend to just not even bother and money stays in the wallet.
