Kotobukiya has posted up the product page for their upcoming King of Fighters ’98 – Mai Shiranui Bishoujo Statue. She was originally introduced in Fatal Fury 2 for the Neo Geo in 1992. She became one SNK’s core fighting game characters, appearing in not only Fatal Fury and King of Fighters, but also in the SNK vs Capcom crossover fighting game series among others. The 1/7 scale statue stands over 8″ tall on a themed base and is cast in PVC.
The statue is priced at $119.99. It’s due for release in August in Japan. You can see the new photos and full details after the jump.

Mai Shiranui of Team Women Fighters from THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’98, a game often praised as the best masterpiece of the THE KING OF FIGHTERS series, joins the BISHOUJO series lineup for the very first time!
This alluring kunoichi was stylized by the beloved illustrator Shunya Yamashita just for this figure, which will be brought to life by sculptor Yoshiki Fujimoto.
Starting with a healthy upper body wrapped in her red and white kunoichi costume, her obi’s bow balances perfectly on her hips, and her body lines were beautifully recreated down to her thighs and the back of her knees. This statue can be thoroughly enjoyed from any angle and will stand out no matter where it is placed!
The base recreates the road under the overpass of the JAPAN STREET stage which is based off Esaka in Osaka, Japan, where the SNK headquarters used to be.

Looks beautiful, although i got out of collecting the gaming series of this series...not enough space unfortunately for these beauties...
