The latest figure from the TMNT crossover with the Universal Monsters is now up for pre-order. NECA has shared news that the Universal Monsters x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Leonardo as Ygor the Hunchback Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure is now available to pre-order. The figure re-imagines Leonardo as the assistant to Dr. Frankenstein, and includes a number of accessories. His shell opens, allowing more than a few of those items to be stored inside. Here are the details direct from NECA:
He’s the brains behind the Monster… and he has the jar to prove it!
NECA is thrilled to announce a new addition to its Universal Monsters x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure collection. The line pays tribute to the world’s most famous turtles and Universal’s icons of horror. Leonardo as The Hunchback reimagines the Turtle as Ygor, faithful assistant to the great Dr. Frankenstein… Or so he would have you believe! For this menacing mastermind has nefarious plans inside even more nefarious plans, and he doesn’t even need to hide them up his sleeve – there’s plenty of space on his back!
Yes, the massive shell of The Hunchback opens to store the many included accessories: brain in a jar, two katanas, interchangeable hands, shovels, bone, skull, and flame effects that attach to the katanas to form torches… all tools in his sinister plans for revenge on the mysterious vampire cult that disfigured him. Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging with opening flap featuring a custom illustration.
The figure is priced at about $35. It’s currently listed for a release in May. You can pre-order at the links below. Check out the new photos after the jump.

Preorders are now up. I like TMNT but usually never enough to go out of my way for any of it but this is just top notch uber cool. Can't wait to see how amazingly executed the Gillman-turtle thing is because I'm definitely in for this one.
Finally a GOOD reveal!
I LOVE TURTLES!!!!!!!!! Pre pre pre preeeee ordered!
Thanks for the link Boogieman!
Damn! This is perfect.
Love that!
This could be an awesome wave!
This is so awesome.
It's stuff like this that really makes collecting figures fun.

Looks awesome, I love the detail of the manhole cover built into the shell, hopefully we get them in the UK.
According to the Target leak we should be getting a Mickey Mummy and Leonardo Hunchback too.
Huh, wonder why they changed the turtle/monster mashup?
Wow awesome reveal!
More amazing than I ever could have imagined.
Apparently 3 of these figures were found in Target store computers a couple of months ago. In addition to Raph as Frankenstein's Monster, we'll get Michalangelo as The Mummy and Leonardo as a Hunchback. A listing for Donatello was never found, yet.
Though not for me, pretty cool mashup concept and its got very nice detail choices. Well done. Though, I'd have thought Michaelanglo as Frankenstein but that's my opinion.
I think I still have my Gill Man Leo. They were cool, but nothing more than gimmicks.
I like that the went the route of doing this in the 1990s Jim Hensen movie style. They could have easily done this in a cartoon look (perhaps they will) but for me i love that they look more "realistic." That said, if they can do these (and despite how bad the Third movie was) surely they can give us Samurai turtles.
Hunchback Leonardo sounds heartbreakingly dull.
