Photos and details have been released by Good Smile Company for an upcoming Aliens – MODEROID Power Loader with Ellen Ripley Plastic Model Kit. This ready to assemble kit creates a 1/12 scale articulated Power Loader with an articulated removable Ripley figure. Also included are soft cables for the wiring, and decals that can be applied to the Power Loader. The Power Loader stands almost 9.5″ tall when assembled. More details from Good Smile Company:
From “Aliens” comes a 1/12 scale plastic model of the machine used in the battle against the Alien Queen, the Power Loader! The hydraulic cylinders extend and retract in conjunction with the models arm and leg parts.
Using an internal gear system, the claws can also be opened and closed. The wiring cables have been recreated with soft tube material.A plastic model kit of Ellen Ripley herself is included so you can display her in the Power Loader! Ripley is also articulated, making it easy to display her moving in tandem with the power loader. Water-slide decals to recreate the markings of the machine are also included.
Pre-orders are now live in Japan. No word on a US release just yet. The model kit is priced at 9,500 Yen (about $83 USD). Look for it to be released in July. You can see the new photos after the jump.

That looks pretty good, looks like a fun build.
What's on everyone's mind: "Would my classified Joes fit on that?!?"
I didn't think a Japanese company would be making this. It look great.
Model kit culture is still very much prevelant in Japan, of course they'd do something like this.
Very tempted to get this, but I just can't commit until I actually see the parts as they come out of the box and know just how much time will be needed for the build.
dalong.net does too but,I don't know if they have any good smile kits. Or just check YouTube for builds of the ed-209 kit they released recently. That would give you a decent approximation of what to expect.
First impression: more accurate than NECA's, even if it wouldn't scale with their figures, but the inclusion of Ripley helps alleviate that problem (and an included figure makes the price killer!) and the kit format will make it a whole lot easier to correct anything amiss
Can anyone make out what the not-Caterpillar logo says?
Question....
Can you get one "Complete"??? ;^)

Still quite interested to see how this pans out. I do have the NECA scaled one which makes me have pause and think. Maybe if the Ripley looked better (facesculpt wise) I'd have been more swayed but its a bit 50/50 for me at the moment. Makes me wonder if this means Good Smile will be making a few Aliens and Predators as well? I'll save my thoughts for later on that topic if it does happen.
