These will pair great with their previous releases of Lion-O, Tygra, Cheetara, Panthro,Wily Kit and Kat, and Mumm-Ra The Ever Living. All of these are around $160 USD each and are due in Q3 2022. Read on to check the details and pics!
Created by Rankin/Bass, ThunderCats was one of the most successful animated series of the 1980s, with three seasons totaling 130 episodes. Expanding the collection of statues in the line based on characters created by Tobin “Ted” Wolf, after the previously released heroic ThunderCats gained prominence with individual pieces that form a diorama backdrop, in its first announcement of 2022, Iron Studios introduces the villainous Mutants to join forces with the mummified sorcerer Mumm-Ra (already available) in the composition of a new scenario that will bring:
Slithe – BDS ThunderCats – Art Scale 1/10
Slithering between rocks on the planet known as Third Earth, a stocky, green-skinned figure covered in scales, with spikes protruding from its back and a strong, muscular tail, firmly grips its battle-ax in its right fist. A member of the reptilian race of lizard-like anthropomorphic creatures from the planet Plun-Darr, Iron Studios presents the statue of the surly self-proclaimed commander of the Mutants, a group formed by the races of different animalistic humanoid barbarians and self-professed enemies of the ThunderCats. Leader of the Mutants, authoritarian and willing to sacrifice one of his allies to achieve his goals or save himself, Slithe is nasty, rude, and most of the time, impatient. Once a simple field cook, how he achieved the position of leader is a mystery, given his limited intelligence. Constantly failing to obtain the Eye of Thundera from the ThunderCats, Slithe and his allies pursued the ThunderCats’ spaceship after they left their home planet Thundera for Third Earth, where he ended up allying with the sorcerer Mumm-Ra. Grumpy, he always emphasizes the pronunciation of the letter “S” in his sentences, concluding with a long “YeSSSSSSSS” in the form of a question that he already doubts.

Vultureman – BDS ThunderCats – Art Scale 1/10
Like the bird of prey, it bears a resemblance to and is named after, the anthropomorphic creature with a long beak and a back covered in long brown fur rather than feathers, perches high on a rocky base on the planet known as Third Earth, watching with his shrewd eyes and wielding his staff, or spear, with the tip in the form of claws. Another native derived from the different races of beastly beings, from the planet Plun-Darr, the Iron Studios statue features the cunning and underhanded scientist and inventor member of the ThunderCats’ enemies known as the Mutants. Considered a genius, Vultureman works in his laboratory located in the heart of Castle Plun-Darr, headquarters of the Mutants, creating a variety of gadgets, weapons, and chemical potions for his allies to use against the ThunderCats. Due to his intelligence, he is in constant disagreement and conflict with the other Mutants and their leader Slithe, who blame him for the flaws in his inventions – when their devices or machines don’t live up to expectations. Although ambitious and skilled with electrical, mechanical, and chemical artifacts, Vultureman is the weakest of the Mutants, suffering in combat and one of the funniest characters in animation.

Monkian – BDS ThunderCats – Art Scale 1/10
With thick white fur covering his neck and shoulders, a muscular ape-like figure of limited intellect leaps between boulders and rocks in the arid terrain of Third Earth, wielding his Morning Star Mace, a weapon he wields deftly. He protects his left flank with his shield, used for both defense and offense, capable of shooting projectiles. In this way, Iron Studios presents its statue with the clumsy monkey and general of the Mutants, a group formed by different races of animalistic humanoids, which are among the enemies of the ThunderCats. Leader of the race of Monkians, from the planet Plun-Darr, and one of the main members of the evil gang known as the Mutants led by the reptilian Slithe, Monkian is a great warrior, gifted with solid strength and quick reflexes. His limited intelligence and stupidity also make him, in many moments, a comic relief, acting without thinking, moved by emotion, not rational thought, which makes him the protagonist of many funny situations. Thanks to his athletic abilities of climbing, jumping, and swinging in the treetops, he can move around, covering great distances in a short time, and so he is responsible for reconnaissance missions. Unfortunately, Monkian’s ignorance jeopardizes the Mutants’ plans to defeat the ThunderCats in many cases.

Jackalman – BDS ThunderCats – Art Scale 1/10
Stealthy and treacherous, with canine features, a humanoid with a body covered in brownish-orange fur wields a primitive, but no less dangerous, Wooden Club, moving between rocks on the wild planet Third Earth. He is protected solely by a metallic gladiator shoulder pad, which covers the long tufts of fur on his left shoulder. Iron Studios presents the statue of the cunning but cowardly member of the Jackalmen race from the planet Plun-Darr, and one of the main members of the Mutants, a group composed of different races of animalistic humanoid barbarians, who are among the enemies of the ThunderCats. Often cowardly and cautious, Jackalman is the slenderest member of the Mutants led by the reptilian Slithe. An obedient but envious soldier, he once rebelled against his allies and created his own gang in which he named himself a leader, but his pride and selfishness put him in the footman position again. However, his cunning nature has allowed him to often turn difficult situations to his advantage and even escape them. Greedy and with a sarcastic sense of humor, Jackalman grudgingly serves the Mutants and always seeks to take control of the group, which has always turned out to be his undoing.

Ma-Mutt – BDS ThunderCats – Art Scale 1/10
Snarling and baring his fangs, intensely loyal to his master and ready to do his bidding, the robust canine figure with bluish fur and white chin advances over the rocky terrain of somewhere on the planet called Third Earth. Ready to fiercely defend the Black Pyramid, the lair of the immortal priest he serves, and carry out his plans. Iron Studios presents the statue featuring Mumm-Ra’s faithful canine mascot and accomplice. Resembling a bulldog, Ma-Mutt is Mumm-Ra’s pet and the only creature the evil sorcerer truly trusts and has any affection for. Despite his appearance and inability to communicate by speaking, Ma-Mutt is gifted with great intelligence, able to understand and follow complex plans and represent Mumm-Ra projecting his holographic image to mobilize the Mutants and other allies. In addition, Ma-Mutt can fly, enlarge his size, and assume a form called Ma-Bat, growing giant bat wings on his body. But also, in several situations, he showed the behavior of an average dog, causing mischief to get his master’s attention and demonstrating great affection for Mumm-Ra, a feeling that the Priest of Evil seems to reciprocate.
