Kinda stinks that Joker is taking up a slot in the MK line. Bad enough we just had 5 more Jokers announced (Three Jokers, DKR Joker, Retro 66 Joker).

So many characters to choose from and we get yet another Joker.

McFarlane already brought us a pretty near-perfect MK11 Shao Kahn, which was my most wanted figure from the line. Thanks Todd!

By the way, you might want to fix the title of this article.

This Kotal Khan could be a stand in for Atuma on the Marvel Legends shelf, IMO.

    Love….that joker!

I know nothing of the newer mortal combat, but that figure looks like an awesome god of the Incas or Mayans or something awesome from the pre-European America’s. Just awesome.

Man…wouldn’t a line of all the deities from ancient religions be cool? Anyway sidetracked a bit there.

Total miss for me on that Kotal Kahn. Such a great opportunity for a cool, detailed figure. Instead we get this Mattel kid line figure.

I agree, I'm also wondering how long retailers will want to continue supporting the line as well. I don't know why Mcfarlane never gave us the classic MK 11 for Subzero and Scorpion. Technically they are from MK 11, unless Storm Collectibles won't let them.

Mcfarlane has never really seemed that interested in MK11. I'm surprised they aren't deeper into the line.

I dunno, as a Mortal Kombat fan I've been pretty happy with the handling of this line so far. McFarlane has given us most of the main characters and some unexpected side characters like Kabal and Kotal Khan.

Honesty I'm not excited about Joker but kotal I'll buy. I hope they give us Jade and skarlet before it's over. In terms of MK they have given us quite a bit.

It's possible that their deal might only include MK11's initial roster since that's when they got the license. Maybe, I don't know all the ins and outs of their deal with NetherRealm but it seems like even as the ones making the game they weren't 100% on who all was going to be an add-on fighter so perhaps some of those extra characters weren't included in the toy deal. McFarlane was able to do Spawn because, well duh, and Joker since they have the DC license too but any Mortal Kombat character not in the game as of week 1 might be up in the air. This is just speculation on my part, but at the same time we haven't gotten any add-on fighters except for those two so maybe I'm onto something. It would definitely suck because they added some pretty good characters over time.

In the time frame since the line started it feels like we should have double the roster especially with all the recolors.

Especially with this game ignoring the characters we haven't gotten yet, we haven't gotten their future/past counterparts. With support for the game ending soon, it's like "will Mcfarlane care in a year to release more?"

Why release a Joker when the DC line is going to release four more in the next year?

    Why not Jax or Kano?

I don't remember Joker's cane and knife to be that big, the hell? At least Kotal doesn't look so bad.

I really hope they at least get to Skarlet, Jade, Cassie, Jacqui, Sonya, Kano, etc.

Seems most MK lines don't go much deeper than the ninjas, so at least we've gotten SOMETHING new here.

Between Storm and McFarlane, we're getting a nice cast of characters.

McFarlane Co is doing a really good job on the Joker sculpt. This one looks a little better than their previous take on the Joker, but I’ve never liked MK’s Joker design. He looks like an edgy cosplayer pretending to be Joker. A kitbash of this Joker will be really good, tho!
