Another tease from Todd McFarlane and McFarlane Toys, but this time for SPAWN. This was via Todd’s personal FB page, showing off a modified MK11 Spawn figure. It has brighter colors and new parts, specifically the brooch / upper part of the cape. He’s seen standing on a giant cross, which some might remember being part of the fabled 10th anniversary Spawn figure (ebay link) – one of the few fully articulated Spawn figures from the original run of figures. One that is still sought after by collectors today. The cross looks like an upscaled version of the one that came with the Year Two Batman last year. For those who missed out on the Kickstarter project this will be a great way to incorporate a traditional Spawn into the modern articulated roster. Todd McFarlane took to social media this afternoon to revealed a new Spawn figure for 2022. The figure uses the MK11 Spawn body but features a new deco, cape, and chains. No word on whether this figure will be part of his Spawn line or another addition to the Mortal Kombat line.

This is pretty cool. I checked the MK11 skins, didn't see that brooch style, but it is very close to the first Spawn fig and the Kickstarter. So may not be a MK11 branded fig even tho it's using the body.
The cross is the same design as the Year Two Batman, but it's upscaled I think.
Either way if something like this drops I'll take it!
nice! I'm in for this one. I like my MK11 Spawn but I really was hoping for something more classic what with the release of Raven Spawn and Gunslinger Spawn. Now I really hope for a new Medieval Span.
Well it's really just another variant. Probably good some some who wants red/black and couldn't get the old releases. They have certainly got a TON of mileage out of this mold. I remember when it was announced as a Walmart exclusive right before the Covid Times.
When is he going to make a new Tremor?
Wasn't there talk awhile back of Todd doing another kickstarter in 2021? I guess that got delayed. Any update on those plans? Or is he just going to focus on retail releases since it seems to be doing good?

Despite a lot of reuse… this is a very welcome figure! This mold is very articulated! And anyone with the kickstart figure can tell you, is that man oh man, that figure is awesome but still didn’t have the full articulation. (At least I know on mine the arms don’t move/pose much and that neck/head is not great). This solves some of those issues.

Cool. Now maybe I can find a normal Spawn for less than $50. Hope he at least comes with the axe.
Hope it has the option for switching to unmasked. Maybe ectoplasm and something with the chains and cape.
Dunno if other forum members collect Spawn figures, but this appeared at my local Target today.
That is a fantastic figure. He's already in the running for my 10 favourites list.
