The Batman – Drifter Bruce Wayne and Motorcycle Toys from McFarlane Toys

Posted on January 1, 2022 at 11:34 am by Tony_Bacala under DC Toy News

the batman drifter bruce

Another figure from The Batman by McFarlane Toys has been teased today – Drifter Bruce Wayne.  This is a non suited version of Robert Pattinson in civilian clothes and heavy eye shadow.  The bike is also new, titled the Drifter Motorcycle, and seems to be more real world than “Batcycle”.  So two bikes inbound for the movie line already, hopefully we get that in-scale Batmobile.  With flame exhaust.  Real flames.  :).

Check the pic after the break. No word yet on price, exclusivity or release dates.

You can see the previous The Batman reveals here.

I'm actually kinda surprised that this is the first Catwoman we've gotten in the line, you'd think we'd have had at least one before now.

That is odd actually. This one looks solid though. Expect unmasked variant in 3,2,1...

She and Batman are bound to get unmasked versions, maybe Riddler too.

These are turrible as Charles Barkley has often said. Hollywood costume people suck when it comes to Superhero costumes. The cast is a bunch of actors/actresses that no one wants to see in a movie aka they were cheap contracts. The movie will do less than $125m worldwide. From the great director and cast of the previous trilogy to the dregs of a trash can found at the docks of LA/Long Beach for this movie.

Hey while you're predicting the future, can I get some winning lotto numbers? If you think this movie makes anything LESS than 700m you're willfully ignorant, and I'm not even hyped about this movie haha

I'm so glad these are 7" now... the new Batman trailer looked amazing... if these were 6" I would be tempted to buy them all.

I didn't think the movie Riddler and Catwoman could look worse than they do in the movie. These look like a noob tried to kitbash them.

    Okay anyway
I think they look pretty accurate to the movie. But masked up they always do.
So yeah inevitable unmasked variant would be annoying as it should have come with this figures.
As well as the inevitable of those heads looking nothing like the actors.

The Bat bike comes with a gripping hand which is great.....but why not just add it to Batman?

Alongside the usual lack of closed fists.

Basically the same complaints about these backward business practices despite a solid sculpt.

I can't even imagine being this autistic about scale.

It's hard to believe we only have to wait 4 1/2 months for this movie to come out!

The figures look pretty good. Catwoman is the only one that I'm iffy on. She looks good in some shots but not so good in others. Batman, Riddler, and the Batcycle all look solid.

As for the actual movie and the "dregs" that were casting in this movie, here's the past result of casting some of the biggest names in Hollywood in a Batman movie.

And here's what happened when they made "terrible" casting choices:

They were also available on Amazon but they disappeared pretty quickly.

Particularly, don't like them but it's not because of the toys but movie designs.

WB really refuses to move past the Nolan Trilogy. These look even more "realistic" than those designs.

Also Riddler us apparently Jigsaw from Saw now?

IMO scale is probably the second most important aspect when collecting something... with number one being price.

EDIT:I've said this before though... scale doesn't really matter if you are leaving everything MIB. And I've noticed most DC Multiverse collectors (at least on Youtube) tend to leave everything MIB. I open pretty much everything and put it on the shelf, so to me scale is a top priority as I only collect 3.75"/4" and 6" scales.

They look pretty bland. I thought we finally moved past the boring realism of the Nolan movies.

Incredible, but this may be the dumbest and most certain to not come true prediction I've ever heard on a forum. Someone could tell me I'd win the lotto tomorrow and that'd still be a surer bet than this.

literally the only problem I have with the Batsuit in this movie is that the belt isn't some yellow-adjacent color, to me it's essential for the belt to be like yellow (bright, pale, dark, whatever), gold, tan, or even brown, as long as it's yellow-adjacent and stands out from the rest of the suit; other than that this suit looks fantastic

Ummm...well at least Batman looks decent. Catwoman....if they JUST gave her a more traditional look...hell, just a newer tight head piece and goggles would be all that suit needs...Riddler on the other hand is the worst. That just does not scream "The Riddler" to me. Not may favorite design.

I'm not a fan of the gun that killed his parents being used as his bat symbol. And yes, I'm tired of realistic Batman stuff. I'm not saying go Adam West shit, but the Burton movies were the perfect mix of being serious while keeping them comic booky.

As for Riddler, I thought the same thing when I saw the trailer last month with The Suicide Squad.
