Bo-Katan looks pretty terrible with her armour unpainted.
I hope this bodes well for the new characters getting TVC figures within the next year.
I'll need two of those Fetts so I can give one's blaster to my original Boba Fett, so he can give back my original Bossk's. (Poor original Bossk... defenseless, all these long years.) 🤣
The first Mando-era Boba Fett figure we get from Hasbro and it has to be this? Ugh. Wake me when they get around to doing a Black Series figure.
Who asked for this?
Taking action figure technology back 40 years...
Taking action figure technology back 40 years...
I don't think every figure that gets made needs to push the boundaries of current action figure manufacturing technology. I find the retro simplicity of older figures quite appealing. Though most of the figures in this line, and a lot of other retro style figures being made right now are not very good. I'll get Boba and Mando, the rest are an easy pass.
Not everything is for everyone. Those that still have the vintage figures love these. I find these very eye-catching and only in the last few year have I learned to appreciate the charm of older toys. I was one that continually needed to update to the newest-best-most accurate figure out. Now I catch myself looking at my “Super Powers” figures from almost 40 years ago vs the new McFarlane DC.
I'd rather get some new Kenner retro style figures of OT characters, but given how badly the Tarkin and Snowspeeder Luke figures look that Hasbro did, it's probably better to let the 3rd party guys like Toyweaver, Fans Strike Back, Stan Solo, and Poon do them instead. Their stuff on Facebook/Etsy is amazing and it captures the classic Kenner style more accurately than what Hasbro has been attempting.
These are very welcome to my collection. As someone who doesn't collect any 6" or 7" lines these will fit really nicely with my original vintage Star Wars figures and the other modern releases of vintage style figures.

Will also get any of these in TVC. Not interested in Black Series.
Different strokes...
Me! I asked for this! Yay to taking action figure technology back 40 years!
I don't collect TVC or Black Series. So weird how there are people who like different things in the world.
Star Wars Black Series Mando Ahsoka and Death Watch Mandalorian

Eh, I prefer TVC versions of these two. Hoping Bandai tackles Ahsoka soon.
I'm down for the Ahsoka for sure.
No Axe Woves?
After what Hasbro did with the S7 Clone Wars Ahsoka and Death Watch Mando, these two need to be regular retail releases.
Ahsoka should be a little brighter in color. She barely looks orange.
Bring Home The Bounty 12/7/21 ? Throne Room Boba Fett, New Vintage Collection Packs & More

Boba, & others
So $31.49 for more "deluxe paint apps"? What a joke.
Dammit Hasbro! How did you mess up on that sculpt for the beautiful Ming Na Wen?!?! That Fennec doesn't even look Asian!
