Storm Collectibles Devil Jin Tekken 7 Reveal

Posted on December 6, 2021 at 1:42 pm by Tony_Bacala under Video Game Toy News

Storm Devl Jin 01

Storm Collectibles have released full product information for the next in their gaming figures – Devil Jin from Tekken 7. He’s coming packed with articulated wings, alternate hands and heads. Release date is due in Q2 2022. Read on to check the pics and details.

Devil Jin is a demon with only ultimate power and destruction on his mind. The result of Jin’s mind and body being taken over by the devil Gene. After he defeated Azazel, Jin Kazama was apprehended by UN troops. As his unconscious body was being transported by helicopter, he became possessed by his devil form, ripped free from his straitjacket, tore through the helicopter’s fuselage with a powerful beam attack, and then escaped.

Intermittently fending off the UN’s attempts to recapture him, Devil Jin wandered the desert until he stumbled across a town in the Middle East. His arrival at the town’s bazaar sent the civilians fleeing for their lives, turning the once buzzing settlement into an abandoned husk.

Features:

  • 3 x Interchanging Head Sculpt
  • 4 x Pair of Hands
  • Articulated Wings

Estimated Release Date: Q2 2022

Pretty cool, this brings back some nice memories of playing Tekken 5.

I don’t think I will buy it though; I'm not a huge fan of the rubber torso pieces they're using. The seamless look is impressive, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t trust the material and don’t see the point in a seamless torso when literally every other joint is segmented.

Same. I don't trust that rubber. Had too many figures with rubber just flat out disintegrate in my hands after a few years.

Do you guys have other Storm figures? The same material is literally used in every figure they make in one place or another. Several of their pieces have soft torso pieces even if there's a joint there. Death Adder is not a silicon figure. It's that same rubbery plastic over the arms/legs/torso with some sort of skeleton beneath it. I'm fully confident on these figures after getting Adder in. I thought it might be silicon at first but it's not that at all. I haven't experienced any deterioration on the older Storm figures I have.

Well most of Storm's output isnt even 5 years old at this point. Theres still the possibility that the rubber overlay parts could degrade. Having own a bunch myself, hope that isn't the case lol.
Only real issue with Storm rubber I recall is with their 1/6 Tyson earlier on. And in that instance sounded like a bad batch was used cause the rubber was breaking down pretty quick.

I don't. They always have been on my radar, but I never bought one. I'm playing with the thought of getting this one though, I looked up the Death Adder figure you mentioned and that looks pretty nice in-hand. Maybe I should just give it a chance and see how I like this sort of torso design.

Where are you guys buying these? My local import retailers are getting Storm stuff from time to time but not always. I've seen that Storm sells their figures directly on their homepage, did anyone order from there before?

I get mine from bbts and the occasional ebay auction. The wrestling figures they've done I've gotten from ringside collectibles.
I've noticed Storm figures tend to be a lot more on sites like amiami and hlj but I don't know why.

I have those 5 year old Scorpion and Sub-Zero figures and they're good, the plastic for the joints is more of an issue from what I can tell online. No one's torsos are falling apart.

I know people want everything to last forever but if I get 5+ years out of these things I think that's pretty good overall.

I'm in the US so BBTS/Amazon are easy, I've bought from a couple of Facebook retailers and some sites like eknightmedia.com, Toyzinthebox.com and Surethingtoys.com. They're usually a few bucks cheaper than the big sites or may offer free shipping.

I haven't ordered direct from Storm but have read others who have. You might get your figure sooner but I've basically read that they don't send you a tracking number. The box just might show up one day. I don't like that lack of paper trail so I don't go with them.

I have Both Chun-Lis, Bison, Jin, Kazuya, Shao Kahn, and Noob. So far no issues so hopefully they maintain that.

Seeing some of my older Hot Toys disintegrate to the touch (like the pre-Infinity War Black Widows) really scares me a bit about this stuff.

Okay yeah, lack of tracking number is too scary for me. I might just wait and see whichever of my local retailers offers this figure.

    Thanks for the input everyone!

I have ordered a LOT from Storm directly and always received my order but they don't send tracking and they don't answer their Customer Service emails... its also $30 international shipping ordering through them. I did get a free Street Fighter Ryu, Ken, and Guile out of them once due to their incompetence... but that probably evens out with the amount I have spent on international shipping.

Thank you for replying, I think I will wait and see what my local shops will offer

Good for you! Their customer service is notoriously non-existant lol. Been trying to get a replacement part for a figure since October, showing pics & receipt from the etailer but nothing. At this point probably not even worth the effort to try another followup.
