Ryu is the first in a new line of Street Fighter figures from IconiQ Studios. They have updated their site, giving us our first look at the new figure. Ryu is 1/6 scale, which means he’ll stand about 12″ tall. IconiQ has teamed up with TB League to develop the figures. Ryu has a bunch of accessories such as swap out heads, a few hands, a Hadouken fireball with stand, a duffel bag, and more. Ryu is priced at $289. They expect the figure to be released in the second or third quarter 2022. Details:

New Street Fighter 1/6 Scale Figures Line by Iconiq Studios
Oh, seamless figures of Street Fighter with TBLeague bodies sounds like a good match. Hope they keep the price around the same range as current TBL releases though, and don’t charge a too hefty markup for the license.
Tbleague would work great for the street fighter characters. Hopefully this doesn’t go the way of Storm Collectibles with 2,571 game licenses. The 12 Championship Edition classic characters would be great.
This looks SICK!!! Unfortunately, this figure is going to be expensive. Who else do you think has this body type? I’d say Guile, Ken, Akuma, Dan, and maybe Bison would have the same body mold as Ryu. Other characters have completely different body types, like Dhalsim and Zangief, which will probably be way more expensive.

Such a fantastic looking figure. Any hardcore Ryu fan would be stupid not to own this!
Looks great, but sadly, Ryu figures are a dime a dozen. A commitment to do at least the core 8 classics and expand from there would probably gather more support. Lines like this could really benefit from crowdsourcing.
