Hot Toys has updated with photos and details for a new Venom figure. The Venom – Artist Mix Venom (Carnage Red Version) Figure. The figure is not part of their Movie Masterpiece line, and is designed by artist INSTINCTOY. The figure mixes Venom’s design with Carnage’s color scheme, and stands a little over 13″ tall. It has about 8 points of articulation, and has a glow-in-the-dark paint deco. There are two interchangeable head sculpts included.

I can’t imagine anyone actually wanted this
Aw, he’s so cute.
This one feels like a dud. There is very little sense of ferociousness and he looks more like a baby.
Articulation and character indifference aside, I think this is very appealing to the eye. The detail of the sculpt is accentuated by the paint and its pearlescent luster in a way that keeps me looking at the photos. Are the proportions weird? Sure, but one of the most consistent aspects for Venom throughout the years has been the inconsistency in both his size and proportionality. Sometimes changing from panel to panel within the same book, all by design in what I always assumed was an effort to demonstrate the mutable and organic nature of the symbiote.
I'm also a sucker for glow-in-the-dark features as a kid of the 80's.
