McFarlane Toys have revealed a new McFarlaneToysStore.com exclusive – a box set of the Suicide Squad King Shark Collect to Build wave. All 4 figures and King Shark will be packaged in one box. The figures and accessories look the same as the retail releases, with the exception that King Shark has his standard shorts AND a bloody mouth, previously only seen on the Walmart version. The set is running for $125 USD and is due to ship in December 2021.

DC Multiverse Suicide Squad Box Set Exclusive Revealed

of course I expected the unmasked heads to come with this. Instead it's just what you can get at retail.
What's the point?

Which to his credit has worked for him for decades.
I am genuinely baffled by this release. The total price equals getting all 5 figures separately, while if you just bought the 4 human figures you get King Shark already as a BAF. While the bloody mouth is a nice variant I kinda wanted, no way is it worth paying this markup.
This makes absolutely no sense. It's the retail products bundled at the same retail price. There is neither a benefit on price nor a benefit on contents here. This is an absolute joke.
(where's that sarcastic emoji...)
The bloodied head was not standard with the Wal-Mart version, it was only available as a variant.
NO real variants except the bloody mouth and still no GUNS...

If you just view the set as four standard $20 figures and one deluxe $40 megafig then the price is fairly straightforward BUT that's not how the wave is priced at retail. If the King Shark included had been the gold label version this set might be appealing since that one doesn't seem to have been thoroughly distributed (at least so far).
I mean we all dunk on this (and rightfully so), but there's at least several Arkers I could name with the "gotta have 'em all" mentality who'll buy this just to have a complete collection, and they're the target audience for this haha
A group set is perfect for those who may have a harder time getting them all together. This is not meant to be a set for those who purchased the individual boxes.
What I do find to be nonsense is they don't come with the alternate heads. This is a great way to get everything and add additional value(instead of you know putting alt heads/hands in the one solo release like everyone else).
The no gun policy needs to go away. You have a brand called Suicide Squad with them killing a bunch of people. It makes 0 sense. This shouldn't be targeted at kids to begin with.

Someone can make a killing making unofficial guns for DC characters. Especially if it’s unique like Bloodsport’s. I’d get em. I get upgrade kits for transformers all the time.
Pass McF...
This time :^)
There's just no value for me in buying this boxed set at all. Whoever implemented that "no guns for figures" policy should be replaced, the movie isn't even for kids in the first place.
