of course I expected the unmasked heads to come with this. Instead it's just what you can get at retail.

    What's the point?

Seriously, I can't fathom who would buy this outside a couple of diehards.

Feels like it's just more of McFarlane's usual "I know I can release the same stuff in a slightly different way and McFarlanephiles will eat it up!"

Which to his credit has worked for him for decades.

I am genuinely baffled by this release. The total price equals getting all 5 figures separately, while if you just bought the 4 human figures you get King Shark already as a BAF. While the bloody mouth is a nice variant I kinda wanted, no way is it worth paying this markup.

This makes absolutely no sense. It's the retail products bundled at the same retail price. There is neither a benefit on price nor a benefit on contents here. This is an absolute joke.

Actually the price is higher, the full wave at retail will be $100 plus tax, this is $125.

But look at that beautiful box! That's worth $25!!

    (where's that sarcastic emoji...)

The bloodied head was not standard with the Wal-Mart version, it was only available as a variant.

NO real variants except the bloody mouth and still no GUNS...

Usually the wink or tongue-out emojis sufficiently convey a joking tone.

If you just view the set as four standard $20 figures and one deluxe $40 megafig then the price is fairly straightforward BUT that's not how the wave is priced at retail. If the King Shark included had been the gold label version this set might be appealing since that one doesn't seem to have been thoroughly distributed (at least so far).

I mean we all dunk on this (and rightfully so), but there's at least several Arkers I could name with the "gotta have 'em all" mentality who'll buy this just to have a complete collection, and they're the target audience for this haha

There will never be guns, sadly. Guns are gone.

A group set is perfect for those who may have a harder time getting them all together. This is not meant to be a set for those who purchased the individual boxes.
What I do find to be nonsense is they don't come with the alternate heads. This is a great way to get everything and add additional value(instead of you know putting alt heads/hands in the one solo release like everyone else).

The no gun policy needs to go away. You have a brand called Suicide Squad with them killing a bunch of people. It makes 0 sense. This shouldn't be targeted at kids to begin with.

Yes, a second chance to get the team. But you are right, guns are needed, and even those from PEacemaker seemed SciFi, so I don't know what's the issue... And these toys aren't even for kids, they can't even watch the movie.

Peacemaker's pistol was just a desert eagle with a long barrel.

Sorry, I meant Bloodsport, I couldn't care less about John Chinas character... Only got it for the Nanaue piece and resold it through eBay...

Someone can make a killing making unofficial guns for DC characters. Especially if it’s unique like Bloodsport’s. I’d get em. I get upgrade kits for transformers all the time.

There's just no value for me in buying this boxed set at all. Whoever implemented that "no guns for figures" policy should be replaced, the movie isn't even for kids in the first place.
