McFarlane Toys have shared out the first teaser image for their line of Princess Bride action figures. We first heard about this back in October 2020 and now things are happening. We see here Inigo Montoya kneeling with his back to us. Looks to have a full range of modern articulation and his sword. More details as things drop, check the pic after the break!
The Princess Bride Figures Coming From McFarlane Toys

Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
We better get some R.O.U.S.’S
When I first saw the banner image, for some reason I thought it was a Star Wars Clone Wars figure lol.
I love Princess Bride, it's a literal 10/10 movie, but I doubt I'll pick up any of these. I'm happy for people who want them, though.
Not sure why everybody likes this movie for. I thought it was bad
inconceivable
Yo, McFarlane. Buttercup in the red dress. K. Thanks. Bye.
This is fantastic news! I've been dying for someone to pick this license up for years. Shame Neca only made Wesley.
I am excited for this line....hope Todd goes deep.
I even customed a civilian Westley...and made a Robin Hood Men in tights version.

Promise me The Ancient Booer. Otherwise, you're not serious.
I think I might be the only one who grew up in the 80's who didn't like Princess Bride... Neverending Story & Legend were always my fav fantasy movies... then Highlander... although I guess Princess Bride was more of a romantic comedy than fantasy.
McFarlane will do one single wave consisting of two figures then cancel the line.
He's burned us too many times like this before. Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Harry Potter....
DST is just as bad with its lines like X-Files, Pulp Fiction, and most likely Lord of the Rings.
It's not like Princess Bride figures are going to fly off the retail shelves with casual consumers. It's a very niche cult classic film that appeals to far fewer people than GOT, Trek, or Potter, so when sales underperform, it'll quickly get cancelled. I don't know why McFarlane even bothers to get a license for a franchise like this and then sets his sales expectations far too high, as if he thinks it's a mass retail line that will be found everywhere instead of hidden on a single peg in the NECA section of Target or online stores like BBTS, where most people will never find it or know it even exists unless they are the hardcore toy collectors like us. Just like with new TV shows, sometimes you need to give it a chance to find its audience and show that it has legs to last awhile instead of just quickly killing it if its not an immediate success. With McFarlane's track record, a lot of people like myself aren't even going to bother collecting the line if there's no indication of it getting at least 2 or 3 waves to fill out the character selection.
First Teaser for McFarlane Princess Bride Figures!

Looks pretty good from what I can tell so far. This is probably the only McFarlane thing I'll be all in for.
Man I wish Mcfarlane would address the ankle and elbow joints at least. They could be smoother.
Falkor would take these Princess Bride bitches to school.

Yeah but it has fun puppets.
This is a must-have line for me. Well done, McFarlane.
